Rock Creek Cats is an all-volunteer group dedicated to helping less fortunate felines.
Our main activity is helping outdoor, unadoptable (feral) cats by humanely trapping them, getting them spayed/neutered and vaccinated, and returning them to their environment, while ensuring they have food and shelter, per the guidelines of the Washington Humane Society (http://www.washhumane.org/catnipp.asp), Alley Cat Allies (www.alleycat.org) and the Humane Society of the U.S. (www.humanesociety.org/feralcats).
Sometimes, though, we come across cats who are good candidates for adoption; these are the ones listed at the following link:
Humanely trap feral cats (training available)
Transport cats to spay/neuter clinics
Monitor cats during recovery from spay/neuter surgery
Foster adoptable cats
Pick up/transport donated items
Post/distribute flyers
Make shelters for outdoor cats
