Text Box: PAWS is a newly organized Animal Rescue in Price County in Northern Wisconsin. We are a Non-Profit Organization incorporated in the State of Wisconsin and are in the process of obtaining our 501C3 IRS status. We are an Animal Rescue in Wisconsin. Our board is comprised of many LOCAL animal rescue volunteers. We work with an area Veterinarian whose office is located within 3 miles of us. We maintain several indoor and outdoor combination kennels as well as a quarantine area & maternity/puppy area. PAWS is a small group in Price County, WI dedicated to saving as many dogs as we can. Through Adoption Programs & Community Education, we hope to make a difference.

Text Box: If you are interested in adopting, the FIRST step is the Adoption Application. Make sure before filling out an application that you have seriously considered adoption and have talked it over with ALL family members. Our approval process takes about 48 hours. Please only apply if you are ready to adopt now. A completed Adoption Application is required, in addition to an approved vet reference, a home visit and a personal interview. Some dogs with special needs may have a more involved adoption process. If you decide NOT to adopt, please let us know asap so the dog can be adopted by another family. An approved application alone does not "reserve" the dog. We cannot deny accepted applicants the opportunity to adopt a patiently awaiting dog. Also, the shelter needs room for new arrivals. If you need additional time to pick up your new friend, arrangements can be made. This is done on a case-by-case basis only. PAWS has an extensive network of fosters. We attend Adoption Events in Michigan, Wisconsin and Minnesota. Please contact us if you would like to know where we will be.
