***Please understand that RCAF is a no-kill rescue. When our foster cats encounter health issues, we must take care of them! When cats cannot be adopted due to health or behavioral issues, they become permanent foster cats with RCAF. Please consider donating to our cats that required extra care!! This little angel is one of the many RCAF permanent foster kitties. Now how could we say "no" to that sweet little face? Spirit came to us with many birth defects, including a massive hernia and a deformed leg. Thanks to our kind and wonderful vets, she survived an emergency surgery to repair her hernia. She was spayed and had a second surgery to complete the repair of her hernia. She has been thriving as a permanent foster kitty with RCAF for over three years. Please remember that the poor economy has hit the animals and rescue groups the hardest! RCAF only has two adoption cages at Great Northern PetsMart, but enough kitties to fill them a few times over. Please do not let our babies grow up in foster care! Please consider adopting one of our kittens below so these kitties do not become adults in their foster homes. We have tons of older kittens! Please see the following and more! Costello, Abbott, Sebastian, Reba, Valentino, Muni, Mr. Bean, Sweet Tart, Glitzy, Colt, Kolby, Roy, Gracie Girl and many more!! We also have NUMEROUS adults. Some have been overlooked for years! Please email us so we can fit the right cat to your home. If you cannot adopt another kitty, please consider a monetary or food donation. Please also consider sponsoring a non-adoptable/permanent foster cat (i.e. FeLV cat, FIV cat, geriatric cat and/or disabled cat). All donations to RCAF are tax-deductible.

OUR CATS NEED DENTALS!!!! Dental care is an ongoing need for rescue cats! Its a simple procedure that saves lives (lack of dental care can lead to infection and organ failure!!) We have multiple foster cats and permanent/terminally ill foster cats that are in desparate need of dental care! Dental cleanings with extractions cost just under $250 per cat. We fully vet all of our adoptable and permanent foster cats, so this is a necessary expense that the rescue never recoupes. Please help our cats -sponsor a kitty by donating money for dental care!!

Who We Are
The Rainbow Connection Animal Foundation is a non-profit, no-kill, 100% volunteer animal rescue organization which rescues homeless, abandoned, and surrendered cats and kittens and ultimately places them in loving homes. We are also active in and practice Trap/Neuter/Release methods in order to maintain the feral and stray cat population. WE DO NOT HAVE A SHELTER. WE ARE A SERIES OF FOSTER HOMES.
All RCAF cats/kittens are tested for FIV/FeLV, wormed, and spayed/neuter. The animal is placed in foster care and observed and socialized as needed. Adoptions take place in private homes, PETsMART stores, internet rescue connections, and veterinary clinics.
RCAF relies on donations, adoption fees and volunteer support in order to operate and continue rescuing homeless and abandoned cats.
Adopting a friend
Each potential adoptive home is screened using a questionnaire and interviews. When adoption is approved, a representative of Rainbow Connection meets the adoptive parents and completes an adoption contract and medical record. Rainbow Connection has a 100% return policy which means in no uncertain terms, should the animal become ill, can no longer be cared for by the adopter or is simply no longer wanted, the animal is to be returned to Rainbow Connection. This ensures that this animal will never be homeless again in essence, Rainbow animals have a home forever.
