Our History
Raven's Haven is a registered society commited to saving homeless animals. We built our foundation on the events of a cold March night in 2003. A shiny black cat who came to be called Raven arrived on our doorstep. His loud, raucous voice caught our attention. Within moments of picking him up, his status as a stray was evident. Skinny and shivering, Raven ate a whole can of cat food off our kitchen floor.Raven's story turned out very happily. A cat-loving couple adopted him within a month of his arrival at our door. Today he's a happy, well-fed and healthy house pet.
Raven today, having a snooze.
Raven inspired us to help other animals in need. Have a look at our other adoption success stories. Click here to see our Cat Happy Tails!
Our Vision
Raven's Haven provides foster care to homeless companion animals with the intention of placing them in permanent homes. We fundraise to cover the costs of medical care, food, spaying/neutering, and other incidentals associated with fostering. All of our adoptable animals have been neutered or spayed, brought up-to-date on their vaccinations, and treated for mites, fleas and worms. All cats have been tested for feline leukemia and FIV.
We do not euthanize animals that come into our care, unless veterinary medicine can no longer treat the condition.
