Our dogs love to sleep on Kuranda Dog beds, but we don't have enough for everyone. If you would like to donate a bed at a special wholesale price for a another dog to sleep in comfort, please click here.
The Randolph Animal Hospital is a fully functional animal hospital that is also the town shelter. We work very closely with the dog officer of Randolph and have stray dogs up for adoption on occasion. We have stray cats for adoption at times as well.
**Because we are a fully functioning hospital, it is not always easy for us to reply to emails immediately. If you are very interested feel free to come and visit the animal you are interested in. You can also fill out an application at that time. (No one will be considered for adoption until an application is filled out). It is also very difficult to find time to call random interest phone calls back (ie messages left on the machine) so please email or stop if you are interest, do not leave messages).
The Dick Bustard Fund (named after Randolph's late Animal Control Officer) supports the care of all our stray dogs and cats (and rabbits, ferrets, birds - whatever else comes in). Adoptions fee and donations keep the fund going.
Adopting a friend
Adopting one of our strays is fairly easy. We have an application that needs to be filled out, and we require a visit with the family and the animal to make sure everyone is compatible. Once we receive the application and a visit has taken place, it takes a few days to process. Once approved for adoption, there is a fee of $200 for each stray. We vaccinate, spay or neuter, microchip, and give a full health exam to all of our strays in the adoption program. All our dogs are crate trained while they are here and socialized with other dogs as often as we can. All cats are litter trained and must be kept indoors once adopted (please do not apply if you do not intend to keep them indoors).
