We have a fast turnover of adult dogs, puppies, cats and kittens so if the pet you want is not on our list keep checking back. If you are interested in a certain breed, feel free to email us with your interest although you may be waiting a long time for a rare breed. We are in desperate need of foster homes due to the large number of animals needing homes in Halifax County. Many of the pets at the Halifax pound are running out of time. Who We Are
Rainbow Animal Rescue is a no-kill rescue based in North Carolina. We are a nonprofit, 501(c)(3) rescue organization.
We started our rescue in an effort to help the many unwanted, abandoned and mistreated animals in Roanoke Rapids, North Carolina and the surrounding areas. We foster pets in our homes until we can find loving 'forever' homes for them.
Donations
Donations of your time are always welcome. We are always looking for good foster homes (really need these), help with transports, fundraising, etc. Even a few hours a month can make a difference. If you think you would like to help out please email us. Cash donations are always gratefully accepted too. Donations may be made by clicking on the link below. You will be linked to PayPal, a secure online payment service. You can donate with cash or a credit card, they accept both methods. Your donations are tax deductible.
