Lucky is a 2 year old adult that was abandoned with 11 puppies. She is very affectionate and will be extremely devoted to her family. She is very obedient and greets strangers well. Lucky loves to sleep at the foot of your bed and adores her chew toys. She does not have issues with most other dogs and travels well. Lucky will make the perfect companion for an adult that will show her the love she craves and deserves. Lucky is spayed, up to date on all her shots and on heartworm prevention. We have many new adult dogs, puppies, cats and kittens that will be on the list soon, so keep checking back. If you are interested in a certain breed, feel free to email with your interest. We also are in desperate need of foster homes due to the recent law changes in Halifax County. With all dogs having to be in pens and not chained outside, many people are surrendering their pets to comply with the law. We are seeing a huge influx of adult dogs and puppies. Many are at the Halifax pound and are running out of time. If you think you can open your heart and home to these babies, please call or write. These dogs really do deserve a second chance.Who We Are
Rainbow Animal Rescue is a no-kill rescue based in North Carolina. We are a nonprofit, 501(c)(3) rescue organization. We started our rescue in an effort to help the many unwanted, abandoned and mistreated animals in North Carolina and the surrounding areas. We foster pets in our homes until we can find loving 'forever' homes for them. All animals are seen by a veterinarian, have tests, shots, and are spayed or neutered.Donations
Donations of your time are always welcome. We are always looking for good foster homes (really need these), help with transports, fundraising, etc. Even a few hours a month can make a difference. We do not ship pets, but can work with you to arrange transport. We will consider transport to anywhere in the United States.Come Visit Us!
Because we have no formal shelter nor set hours yet, a scheduled visit is required to view one of our animals. Please email us at Nancy@RainbowRescue.org or write us to schedule a time to meet your newest family member.
