Remember, all of our rescued cats are thoroughly examined by licensed veterinarians, vaccinated, tested for Feline Leukemia/FIV, wormed, flea treated and spayed/neutered ( except the wee ones!). News...FOSTER PARENT DRIVE!
Do you have what it takes to open your home and your heart to a homeless animal in need of a temporary home? Would you like to experience the joy and gratitude of preventing the death of animal abandoned to that certain fate if left on the streets? Then you have what it takes to become a foster parent for PurrFect Paws. Our rescue provides 24 hour veterinary care of all our foster animals and assists with food, supplies and litter . All that is required is a genuine love of animals and a willingness to be a part of our all-volunteer effort. Contact us if you think you can help us make 2008 a better year for an unfortunate animal in need.
Our small group of experienced animal rescue volunteers recognized the need to address the friendly stray population living on the streets. We intake these unfortunate animals, provide them with complete veterinary care and place them in our foster care program. Our primary emphasis is on excellent veterinary care and PurrFect Paws is fortunate to have several veterinary practitioners and specialists on our Advisory Board. We also work with four area practices in the city and suburbs and two full service veterinary emergency and specialty centers. We work one-on-one with the animals and seek permanent, loving homes through adoption. PurrFect Paws Rescue is a registered non-profit corporation in the State of Pennsylvania and operates as a 501(c)3 federally tax-exempt public charity.
Due to lack of space and resources at this time we CANNOT intake pets surrendered by their owners. We hope there will come a time when this will change.
Our volunteers have many years of experience in handling and caring for
animals . We are available to educate and help pet owners through difficult situations. it is our feeling that through education we can help promote responsible pet ownership practices.
Adopting a Friend
If you are interested in adopting one of our homeless pets, please click on the APPLICATION link and forward the information requested. Our adoption area is LIMITED to the Philadelphia area & immediate surrounding counties. Due to our required pre/post placement home visits, we must limit our adoption scope and do NOT adopt out of State. Also, please bear in mind, that we take several applications on each of our adoptables, and the best match possible is made in both the interest of the animal and the adopter. There is no such thing as "first come, first serve" when it comes to our adoption process. It is deliberate and careful as the animal you adopt is your responsibility for the duration of his or her lifetime.
Come Visit Us!
We work strictly out of foster care homes where our rescued animals are raised and cared for as our own. Unlike large shelters, our animals are in a cageless environment. This affords us great insight into their temperaments, personalities and interactions with other animals. Call us or email us to schedule an appointment to meet one of our adoptables.
