UPDATE ON GRACIE....SHE HAS FOUND HER FOREVER HOME!
This is Gracie. Gracie has quite the story. She had the misfortune of ending up at the Stockton Animal Shelter. She was extremely fortunate when we decided to go there to check on another dog, when we found her tucked away in the back where no one could see her or the condition she was in. She came into the Stockton Shelter with a massive abscess on her face. They diagnosed it as a Tumor and wanted to kill her. With 3 vets that volunteer their time there and a vet tech, no one would give her the time of day and noted on her chart that "nothing can be done". We had to literally fight with them to get her out and they did not even considerate her to be a medical emergency. They forced her to stay there for the 4 day holding period, which actually turned into 5 days because of the weekend. We got her immediately to the vet and she was diagnosed with an abscess and ear infections. NOT A TUMOR! She has lost some hearing, but is doing great now. Gracie is a happy, wiggly, quiet dog, and about 50 pounds. She gets along with other dogs and likes people of all ages. Gracie would prefer to be in a home where someone is home a lot--if you are retired, a stay-at-home parent or if you work at home, Gracie would be a great companion. She likes car rides, and she only needs moderate exercise. We're working on crate training and basic obedience. She's now receiving the care she needs, and she's just about ready to be your Best Friend Forever! We think she is about 3 years old. She will be spayed and totally vaccinated before she leaves us. If you think you can provide her with the home she deserves, call Marilyn at 209-956-3004 for a phone interview. Gracie now has her own Facebook page. I AM CONTINUOUSLY TREATING AND DEALING WITH PARVO PUPS. IT TAKES ALOT OF MONEY TO DO THAT. I CHOOSE TO GIVE THEM A CHANCE TO FIGHT THE VIRUS INSTEAD OF CHOOSING TO PUT THEM DOWN. IT TAKES 4 DAYS OF TREATMENT TO FIND OUT WHICH ONES ARE GOING TO SURVIVE AND WHICH ONES ARE NOT. I AM IN DIRE NEED OF YOUR DONATION. ANY AMOUNT YOU CAN OFFER IS GREATLY APPRECIATED. ON ANOTHER BETTER NOTE, I ALWAYS HAVE PARVO SURVIVORS UP FOR ADOPTION, SO THE FEAR OF ADOPTING A PUP WITH PARVO IS NOT EXISTENT IN THEM. PLEASE DONATE TO A VERY GOOD CAUSE!
BEING A PUPPY RESCUER, I RESCUE ANYWHERE FROM 30-50 PUPPIES A MONTH. THESE PUPS ARE COMING FROM SOME OF THE WORST SITUATIONS. THEY ARE FOUND AS STRAYS, ABANDON BY PEOPLE, THROWN INTO DUMPSTERS, THE DELTA, TRAFFIC AND EVEN THROWN OUT WINDOWS. IT IS EXTREMELY RISKY ADOPTING A PUPPY COMING FROM THESE CIRCUMSTANCES. YOU MUST BE WILLING TO DEAL WITH IT FINANCIALLY, ESPECIALLY IF A PUP COMES DOWN WITH PARVO. THERE IS ABSOLUTELY NO WAY FOR ME OR EVEN A VET TO KNOW WHAT A PUP IS HARBORING. THIS IS CALLED SAVING A LIFE, WILLING TO TAKE THAT RISK AND DO WHATEVER IT TAKES TO PRODUCE A HEALTHY PUPPY. PUPS RESCUE NEVER INTENTIONALLY ADOPTS OUT A PUP IF I KNOW THAT THE PUP IS SICK. THEY SOMETIMES DON'T SHOW THE SIGNS UNTIL THEY GO INTO THE NEW HOME. I AM WILLING TO TREAT PARVO MYSELF AND THAT IS WHAT IS EXPECTED FROM THE PEOPLE WHO ADOPT FROM ME ALSO. I WILL DO EVERYTHING IN MY POWER IT HELP AN ADOPTER GO THRU SOMETHING LIKE THAT.
Thank You Don the Glove! Exam Latex gloves were provided for our use by Don The Glove

Who We Are
Pups Rescue technically started in 2005, when it became a non-profit organization (501c3). It is run by one person, myself, who takes the responsiblity for rescuing the pups, caring for them and the cost to do all this. I began rescuing in the year 2000 as a volunteer with other rescue groups. In total I have rescued and found homes for over 3000 puppies. I am dedicated to saving the lives of puppies, that are left to perish from the acts of irresponsible pet owners. Thousands of animals are killed every year, and I am trying in some small way to save the lives of all I can.
