Foster Families Needed!
Since we do not have a shelter, we rely heavily on fosters to care for our adoptable pets. This program is valuable for the socialization and training of our pets so they have a better chance for adoption and adjustment into their forever homes. Fostering requires that you bring the animal to the Bellevue Petco (Hwy 70S, West Nashville) at 10:45AM on any given Saturday and if the animal is not adopted that day, you pick the animal back up between 3:30 and 4PM the same day. We will attempt to provide a crate and/or food as necessary. You must provide the animal with love and affection, shelter and guidance during its stay with you. While we are extremely grateful to those who open their hearts and homes to care for a pet for one week, we especially need foster homes where the pet can remain until it becomes adopted. This provides the pet with stability which it may never have experienced before and assists in the adjustment to a prospective adoptive home. You will also have first preference if you decide to adopt the animal yourself.
Who We Are
We are a group of dedicated animal lovers who feel it is our job to care for God's helpless creatures. We want to make a difference in the lives of the precious animals in our area. Our pets are kept in foster homes. This gives them more attention, a healthier environment, and a chance for our fosters to learn about them. With this we feel we are able to know the kind of home each pet would need. Our animals are true rescues. They come from kill-shelters when their "number is up." They are surrendered to us from owners who are unable or unwilling to care for them. They come from "breeders" and puppy mills who no longer have a "use" for them. We pull them from under cars and trailers. We rescue them when they are found abandoned on the street or chained to a public park tree or fence. For example, follow the instructions below to view photos from this typical rescue: A homeowner called us saying there were puppies under his trailer. We crawled in the mud through brown recluse spider nests to reach them. They received food, a medicated bath, deworming and shots immediately by volunteers. The end result... beautiful, adoptable pups who would otherwise die a miserable and painful death. Please consider helping "HIS" helpless by adopting a rescue animal. In addition, we are always in need of fosters for our angels!
