                          About the Shelter

We are a county operated facility and, as such, most animals are here about five (5) days before they are adopted, rescued, or euthanized, if we cannot place them. All animals that leave the facility are already altered, vaccinated for distemper and kennel cough, wormed, and flea treated. To view our adoptable animals or see current postings check out our sites on Petfinder and Facebook, and adopt a pet.

Volunteers/Donations

Volunteers and Donations are greatly appreciated as well as needed. If you are interested in volunteering, contact the animal shelter to pickup an application. Volunteers can help by caring for our animals, such as, walking, bathing, socializing, transporting and LOVING them! We can also use help with general cleaning at the shelter such as cleaning kennels, cages, laundry, floor and other surfaces. Help is also needed with projects for improvements at our facility.

Donations are greatly appreciated and are what keeps our facility running. We accept donations for Dog Food/Puppy Chow, Cat Food/Kitten Chow, Leashes/Collars (any size), Laundry Detergent/Bleach, Cleaning Supplies: Pinesol, etc., Blankets/Towels, Pet Carrier-Plastic, Dog Boxes-Plastic, Brushes/Combs, Shampoo, Plastic Totes/Lids for storage

Monetary donations are always helpful too, though it is best to ask what we need so you can designate funds toward a specific cause. Call the Shelter Manager for more information
