ABOUT US

We are a small non-profit no-kill animal rescue located in the far northeast of Philadelphia. We do not have a main location and manage our rescue out of foster homes.


We assist all animals in need, but our primary focus is cats. We rescue mainly stray and unwanted cats, as well as feral kittens. We provide medical care, food, and shelter for all the cats and kittens in our rescue. All cats/kittens adopted out must remain indoor only pets. All cats and kittens are altered, FIV/FeLV negative, current on vaccinations, and treated for fleas and worms before adopted out. We spay and neuter each of our cats and kittens prior to their adoption . We provide this service prior to their adoption to prevent litters of unwanted kittens. Each cat is placed in a foster home, receives medical care provided by local veterinarians, and eventually available for adoption. All paperwork is provided.


The adoption donation for an adult cat is $75 and the adoption donation for a kitten is $100. We require all interested persons to fill out an adoption application. Our adoption application can be found at our web site ppar.rescuegroups.org

FOSTER HOMES

Fostering an animal is a very rewarding experience. Prancing Paws Animal Rescue will provide the medical treatment, food, and litter. The responsibilities of a foster parent are to shelter, feed, and to provide medical attention and to medicate the cat when necessary. If possible we ask our fosters to bring their foster pets to adoption events and to our vet.

We do not accept owner surrenders.
