News
Pitt Friends volunteers are at PETSMART in Greenville every Saturday from 12 to 5 and most Sundays from 2 to 5. This is a time to come out and meet some of the dogs in our foster program and we also go by the shelter and bring dogs from there in hopes of finding them a forever home too.
Friends of the Pitt County Animal Shelter better known as Pitt Friends is a non-profit organization that was set up to assist the animals housed at the Pitt County Animal Shelter. We are a foster organization with no facility. All animals are pulled from the shelter and placed in a foster home when a spot is available.
Adopting a friend
To adopt an animal from pitt friends you will be asked to fill out an application. If approved a meeting will be set up for you to meet the animal and see if he/she is a fit for you and your family. All animals are spayed/neutered, up to date on vaccinations, on heart worm prevention, and dewormed. Adoption fees vary depending on medical expenses.
