Pet ResQ Inc. is a not for profit 501c3 organazation dedicated to saving unwanted pets. Most of our rescues are "special needs" whether it being badly abused, older or handicapped. Without Pet ResQ Inc. euthanasia would be their destiny. This huge, loving task requires continual funding to offset the costly expenses of veterinary care, transportation, feeding and housing costs. Pet ResQ Inc. exists solely on donations and volunteer's efforts. If you would like to help homeless pets please contact us. Any assistance is appreciated to allow these scared, homeless creatures to have a forever home that is safe and loving! We need volunteers!We also need foster homes desperately.

Who We Are
We are a small group of people who believe ALL pets deserve a chance. We take in small dogs and cats most of which have been neglected are handicapped or have been abused. We then evaluate them put them in foster care and try to find a forever home. They have had all neccessary vet care and then some. All of our rescues are spayed and neutered before adoption. We have also created a good network of other groups that work together to try to help potential adopters find the pet that is right for them. We operate strictly as volunteers and on donations.

On Sumday, September 13th, Pet’s Best Friend NJ/Doggy Deuce will Host a Fun, Educational Event:
Essentials of Proper Pet Walking (and more). It's a Fun filled, informative event for dog owners
and their pets, featuring free pet-themed arts &
crafts for children, agility course for dogs, and a

We
will be there wilth pets for adoption and doing a bake sale to raise money.
9:10 AM - The second component of the event is the Rolo Dog Walk . At this unique event, dog owners are encouraged to walk or run the 5k course with their dogs. There are special water stations and snack stations along the way specifically set up for the dogs. This event attracts over 150 dogs with their owners and is growing every year. The event is named for Rolo, the Englewood Hospital and Medical Center pet therapy dog. Click here for a photo of Rolo!
10:00 AM - Dog Parade - The Dog Parade begins outside the new gym at Tenafly Middle School and takes place on the field behind the school. The course consists of several obstacles and contests.
All dogs receive a medal.
Additional awards are given for: Best Hair & Nails, Best Trick for a Biscuit, Best Dog and Human Look-Alikes, Best Dog and Human Dance Contest, and Doggie Idol.
It is now 4 years since Katrina. Let us never forget the innocent souls that were lost. Let us always remember the wonderful people who gave of themselves and saved the ones they could! Let us also pray that humanity has learned from that catastrophe and will be better prepared for the next one. We were also fortunate to be able to help out in the Gulf Coast before and after Gustav and Ike reaked havoc on the south.
God bless all who helped! There is a lot more to learn and implement for disasters. Our goal is to create a disaster shelter for people and pets here in New Jersey. We invite anyone who has the knowledge and desire to help make that happen to please join us!
Pet of the Month
Labradors anyone? We are continuing our efforts to help out in the south! Many animals still languish in shelters after the devastation of the hurricanes last fall.We have joined forces with the Onyx and Breezy Foundation to try to help those we can and make space available for the next evacuees.We desperately need foster care for the southern babies!
All of our pets are pet of the month whether they are the ones that Pet ResQ Inc. has or are from another rescue organization. They have no voice! They rely solely on us........
Pet adoption is a lifetime commitment.

This first annual fundraiser was an elegant evening of cocktails, fine dining and dancing to the music of the David Christopher Orchestra at the Clinton Inn Hotel.
We are happy to announce that we were featured in Women's World Magazine in the November 6th issue. It is a great honor to be mentioned, and its a cause we are proud to represent!
A lovely woman by the name of Stacy Levine from NJN news invited us to be guest on her "Happy Tails" segment of the news. We will be broadcasted many times over the next few weeks. It was an honor to be there and a gift for these furbabies to have so many humans on their side! We were also mentioned in the Suburbinate and recently on the front page of the Bergen Record. Thank you to all who actually believe in what we do and especially to those who have adopted, fostered and supported our mission to help the voiceless furbabies.

Adopting a friend
Adopting a friend is the most important commitment a human can do for themselves as well as for the pet they take home. It is a huge decision and one that should never be taken lightly.Understand that the pets you get from us have all escaped death and horrible situations.Therefore,our goal is make this placement final and forever. The rewards can not be measured!!!!!
Pet adoption is a lifetime commitment that we take very seriously.
A new pet takes some time and patience to settle in to a new enviroment. It does not happen overnight. Be prepared to allow adjustment time...

Doggy Deuce is the place to call whether you need them to clean up after your pet regularly or for a special occasion. They offer both indoor and outdoor services.

Visiting our Pets
WE ARE A RESCUE, A NON-PROFIT VOLUNTEER NETWORK OF PRIVATE FOSTER HOMES. There is no shelter to visit. You need to follow our procedure explained below.
Because these dogs are in private homes, we need to make special arrangements for our APPROVED potential adopter to meet the dog he wants. To qualify for this, we need an application, and a home inspection.
WE ARE NOT A SHELTER!!!! There is no 'PetResQ Inc' building. Instead, we rely on volunteers offering their homes to foster our pets while they wait for their forever families.
Please be patient with us as we all work full time jobs and spare time is hard to come by. But any special pet and forever friend is worth waiting for.
