Our Featured Pet...

Rocco just makes you want to go "Ahhhh." He is such a sweet little man, despite all he's been through.

Rocco has spent his entire life (8 or so years) as the stud dog in a puppy mill. That lifestyle has taken it's toll on him. Rocco has one ear that is scarred, and permanently bent down. He also had surgery a few months ago to remove his eye. Rocco had horrible tooth decay, and as a result, is missing many teeth on one side of his mouth. Even with all these disadvantages, Rocco is very sweet. He likes his people, and with a 1, 2, 3, will let you pick him up.

Rocco needs a very special home to retire too. He likes other dogs, and wouldn't mind having a friend or two around, as long as they are gentle and don't expect him to run and play. He's never lived with kids, and would be best in an all adult home. Rocco would be a great companion for an older couple or person who doesn't want to have to take daily walks or be terribly active.

Who We Are

Pet Projects has been an active rescue in southern Minnesota for over 25 years. Located just 50 minutes from Minneapolis/St Paul gives us great access for both wildlife rehab and domestic animal rescues.

Starting off rehabilitating Wolves, Raccoons, and other wild animals, Pet Projects now focuses on the Dogs and Cats that need help in our community. Occasionally squirrels and racoons find their way here for rehabilitation. These wildlife babies are never placed for adoption as pets, and are released into a natural habitat when they are old enough.

As Pet Projects is owned and operated by just one person, phone calls are answered more promptly than emails. Email access is very limited, so you may receive reply message to please call instead. Thanks for your understanding!

Adopting a friend

All dogs and cats adopted from Pet Projects are spayed or neutered before they go to their new forever homes. Puppies and Kittens can be safely altered at 8 weeks of age or 2 pounds. Many of the adult dogs have also have dental work at the time of their altering. All animals are heart worm or feline lukemia tested, and are current on vaccines.

Come Visit Us!

Pet Projects shows dogs and cats to new families by appointment only. Due to our rural location, we often prefer to meet at a public area for more convienence.
