Our Pet List
SWEET BOO, BEFORE AND AFTER HIS RESCUE - he's a lucky boy and is now ready for his new leash on life!
CURRENT ADOPTION HOURS: Saturdays from 11 to 4, Mondays and Fridays from 3 to 5. Please email us in advance for an adoption application so we can best assist you in finding your new furry family member.
PET PROJECT NEEDS YOU! Looking for 25 good people - to pledge 50 dollars a month for our rent. Our new situation comes with new responsibilities - one of which is a HEFTY rent payment. All donations are tax-deductible. You will be helping our Residents in one of the most important ways - by helping us provide a roof over their heads, as well as allowing us to continue our highly active adoption program. Where would they be without us? Completely homeless.
To donate to the shelter right online, click on the "Donate" buttons located on the top or bottom of this page. You will go right to PayPal, and just follow the prompts to send us your gift via the internet. It's guaranteed safe and very easy to do.
PLEASE NOTE: We cannot verify/guarantee information that was given to us by previous owners. The majority of the animals at our shelter were picked up by the county animal control officer, we know nothing about their background, other than the fact that they were abandoned. They are housed at local veterinarian offices, until they come into our care. These animals have more than likely been bounced from home to home before they come to us, and therefore require a little patience and understanding while adjusting to their new lives and homes.

Pet Project would like to remind all pet owners to please SPAY or NEUTER your pets. Each year millions of innocent dogs, puppies, cats and kittens are killed due to overbreeding and not enough loving homes. Please be a responsible pet owner!
Monetary donations are greatly appreciated and help us cover expenses such as food, utility bills, cleaning supplies, (paper towels, brooms, 40 gallon garbage bags, postage stamps, etc) vet bills, and repairs to the shelter. Leashes, collars, towels, stainless steel feed/water bowls for our residents are always welcome! They may be sent to P.O Box 163, Ottawa, IL 61350. We also take Handy Foods receipts. Also : Donations of IAMS dog food (green bag) and IAMS cat food (orange bag) ; GIFT CARDS from Farm & Fleet, Brother's Country Supply, PetSmart, Home Depot, Home Hardware, WalMart, Menard's, Staples.
