Are your Dogs on Heartworm prevention??? They should be !! Please Read!

Do you Love your pet??? If you do please make sure they are on heartworm preventive. It is lower cost and easier than it use to be. I see many great dogs put to their death because the treatment, once they are infected, is so expensive. Check out the new generic on the market as little as $15 for 6 months it's called Iverhart Max. Here is a great sight to get it from Valley Vet. Keep in mind your Pet has to be tested before they can go on preventative. The low cost Spay neuter Clinic can do this for as little as $10 but only if your pet is their for spay neuter services otherwise contact your local vet.

Who We Are

Just a Handful of us trying to make a difference in as many lives as possible!! Many people say one person can't make a difference well I'm one to prove them wrong!!! I have done rescue since 1999 now and have placed over 1000 dogs and several dozens of cats in that time. A few birds, bunnies, ferrets, chinchillas and oh yeah can't forget the full grown pot belly pig named Harley. I started off placing around 50 a year, now our record is over 500+ dogs and many cats in one year ,with my new help, all placed in great homes in 2010!! Pet Angels is looking to grow so if you want to help the animals become a foster home or just help with paperwork or make phone calls for us give us a call. Also I would like to thank our newer volunteers that have been helping us allot. Thank You Kathryn, Eulene, Sabra, Lori & Ehlana.

Adopting a friend

The process for adoption is simple if you don't mind answering allot of questions. First step is to fill out the questionnaire on line. Out of state adoptions are considered & handled case by case. I am normally able to meet with potential adopters on Sat. or Sun. at our adoption events. The following conditions below apply:

• All animals are on a 14 day foster to adopt, if it doesn't work out you can return the pet and medical records/ tags and your adoption fee is returned.
• Adoption fees as posted. ( prices vary due to level of vet work done)(dog average $100-$175)
• I prefer to place my pets in Oklahoma. I will not ship animals.
• I normally do a home inspection & require references, on special needs or bully breeds & exotics
• References are required, landlord and vet contacts or your app. will not be processed.
• All Animals are Spay/Neutered Prior to adoption, and I require dogs to be on heartworm preventive.
• Adoption contracts are filled out at time of placement.
• You will bring the animal back in the future if you become unable to keep it, and not abandon it or turn into local shelter.
• We have a pretty open adoption policy, apartments, unfenced yards, young kids are okay, but only if the pet your are interested in is a good fit for that situation!!!
• Pets Adopted come with a 30-day Shelter Care Insurance Plan and cats and dogs are micro-chipped.

Pets Angels has a Citizen Outreach Program. We can post fully vetted animals that can stay with you.

Pet Angels has very limited resources due to the fact it's just a small handfull of people trying to make a differences in as many animal lives as possible. We DO NOT have funding yet. We DO NOT have a shelter or mass kennels. We care for the animals in our homes until they are placed into a loving permanent home. Due to these facts we are restricted in helping the public, but this is what we can offer.

• If you have an animal that is spay/neutered that has to be given up it can be placed on our web site. And if current on vaccines and in good health can be shown at our adoption outreaches (In-Store Adoptions). The animal would stay with you until we could place it. (Conditions apply e-mail to get info)
• Plan ahead if you know you have to give up your pet in 6 months look NOW!!! It does no good for your pet if you wait till the last minute to stay with you and run out of time and have to send them to the shelter.
