ADOPT A BLACK DOG OR CAT

BLACK DOGS AND CATS are the most euthanized pets in our city and county animal shelters. They are often bypassed for adoption for lighter colored dogs or cats, even as puppies and kittens. They are GREAT and LOYAL companions clothed in black fur and need a little help to get the homes they deserve. Please consider adopting a BLACK DOG OR CAT.

WHO ARE WE

Pet Adoption League, Inc., based in Tulsa, OK is a 501c3 non-profit all volunteer NO KILL animal rescue organization dedicated to helping dogs and cats find new homes. THE ONLY WAY WE CAN HELP THESE PETS IS THROUGH DONATIONS FROM CARING PEOPLE -- CLICK ON THE BONE ABOVE OR MAIL TO PAL, P.O. BOX 700934, TULSA, OK 74170 TO MAKE A TAX DEDUCTIBLE DONATION. Every penny we receive is used for the care of the rescue animals.

Most of our rescue dogs are mixed breed and a few are purebred and specialty breeds. We have all sizes and ages. PAL rescues animals from the area animal shelters and strays turned in by their rescuers. Some of the pets we have are surrendered by owners who can no longer keep them. Most of our animals are housed in foster homes which gives us a better insight into their personality, temperament and training. WE DO NOT SHIP ANIMALS. ADOPTIONS IN NORTHEASTERN OKLAHOMA AND SURROUNDING AREA ONLY.

ADOPTING A FRIEND

First complete an adoption questionnaire by going to the PAL website at www.pet-adopt.org/questionnaire.html. The Word version of the adoption form is easier to use..
To find out more information about one of our dogs or cats, call the contact number on the bio or leave a message on the PAL line 918-365-8725 and your call will be returned.

To cover PART of the medical costs, our adoption fee is $100 for dogs and $125 for puppies and $90 for cats and kittens. The adoption fee for our specialty breed dogs is slightly higher and can vary. The adoption fee includes vet check, all vaccinations, heartworm test (dogs), feline leukemia/FIV test (cats), fecal check, and spay/neuter. Our dogs are heartworm negative and have been started on heartworm preventative. Our cats are feline leukemia and FIV negative, kittens are feline leukemia negative (kittens under 6 months are too young to be tested for FIV).

WE TRY TO MAKE THE TRANSITION OF OUR ADOPTED DOGS TO THEIR NEW HOMES AS EASY AS POSSIBLE WITH EDUCATIONAL MATERIALS. EVERY ADOPTED DOG GOES HOME WITH A TRAINING DVD.
