PAWS Foster and Adoption Team is always looking for new volunteers. If you love cats and have some extra space in your heart and home, the team would be happy to explain our foster program to you. Dog lover?? The team is also looking for foster homes to help local dogs and puppies in need of a second chance to find their own loving homes. Call (717)957-8122 today to help out, send an email to adoption@pawsofpa.org or stop by one of our adoption locations and speak to a team member.

"PAWS" is again teaming up with SNAP and HOKAFI to sponsor SPAY NEUTER EXPRESS CLINICS IN 2011. For CATS ONLY: Call NOW to schedule an appointment (717)732-5377 leaving your name and phone number in Box #5. Clinics are held in Enola. Volunteers are also needed to register persons attending these clinics and it's a great opportunity to volunteer for PAWS. Check out our website at www.pawsofpa.org for more information on future clinics and locations.

Did you know you can help PAWS Save Lives by Saving Purina Weight Circles? PAWS redeems the weight circles and receives various rewards including checks we use for veterinary services. To help, simply cut out the weight circle on packages / bags / cans of Purina brand products and mail them to PAWS, PO Box 855, Camp Hill, PA 17001.

The weather is purrfect for trapping to spay/neuter those outside cats, to stop more unwanted litters this year. There just aren't enough good homes for all the unwanted cats/kittens. Even if it's "not your cat" but you are feeding him or her...please take action today. There are several low cost options available. Please visit our website at www.pawsofpa.org TODAY for more information.

Visit some of our cats and kittens at Petsmart's Luv A Pet Center Harrisburg, Mechanicsburg, Lancaster and Lebanon locations. We also have many, many more cats and kittens in foster care. If you are looking for a four legged friend, please let us find a match for you. Visit some of our dogs and puppies available for adoption on Saturdays (check the pets Petfinder bio for details on location). Application process and adoption fee required.

"PAWS" is seeking volunteers: Volunteers needed on an on-going basis in the Lebanon, Lancaster, Harrisburg and Mechanicsburg areas. Duties involve caring for cats with a time committment of 2 hours (or more if desired) per week. Training will be provided. Please email volunteer@pawsofpa.org for details. The PAWS spay/neuter program involves working from your home to return phone calls, schedule appointments and complete paperwork. Please email volunteer@pawsofpa.org for details. Volunteers are also needed to assist at PAWS spay/neuter clinics for outdoor cats - these clinics support community Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR) efforts. Please email volunteer@pawsofpa.org for information and also visit our website at www.pawsofpa.org.

"PAWS" is continually searching for farms or horse barns to place feral (wild) barn cats. The cats are already spayed/neutered, have vaccinations, and are tested for leukemia/FIV. Please help if you are able as these cats are currently surviving in dangerous situations. The adoption fee is waived provided you are willing to provide care(food, water, shelter) for the cats. Please call (717) 957-8122 or email adoption@pawsofpa.org TODAY if you can help save a life.

Who We Are

"PAWS" is an all volunteer organization chartered in 1979 to foster, and show mercy, compassion and respect for all animals. We are a registered not-for-profit charitable organization (IRS 501(c)(3))

Adopting a friend

"PAWS" primary mission is to eliminate the suffering caused by the pet over-population tragedy by providing a low cost spay/neuter program. If you are interested in having your pet spayed/neutered through our low cost program, please call (717) 957-8122. Our adoption animals result from unwanted litters, strays, and owner surrenders. "PAWS" tries to find the best match for both the new owner and the pet. To accomplish this we require all pets in the household be spayed/neutered and that the pets be kept indoors. We also check veterinary records for existing pets, references, and the landlord's pet policy. All of our pets are spayed/neutered prior to adoption. The adoption fee for cats and kittens varies. The adoption fee for dogs and puppies varies.
