December 2011- PCAS will be closed on Monday January 2, 2012 for the New Year Holiday and Monday January 16, 2012 for the Martin Luther King Holiday.

May 2011- Pasco County Animal Services opened a new, state of the art Adoption Center! The center is located at 19640 Dogpatch Lane (formerly called Lake Patience Road), Land O' Lakes, FL. Our dogs and cats have been examined by our veterinarian, are spayed/neutered, have their rabies vaccine and a microchip.
Adopting A Friend
Dogs/Puppies: $70.00 + $5.00 tag for Pasco County residents.
Cats/Kittens: $40.00 (tag is optional).
Misc. Pets: $10.00
CASH OR CHECK WITH ID ONLY - WE DO NOT ACCEPT DEBIT/CREDIT AT THIS TIME.
Some of our cats/kittens and dogs/puppies are available for "pre-adoption" by placing a gift certificate on that special pet to reserve them just for you! On some animals, there will be a slight delay before you can take home your new pet while we finish their services, including spay/neuter, microchip and rabies vaccination.

Pasco County Animal Services is the only public animal shelter in the county. The goal of PCAS is to ensure public health and safety in our community. We encourage responsible pet ownership through education, legislation and by providing incentives to sterilize pets. Directions: From US 41, turn west onto Lake Patience Road and follow the signs ( about 2 miles). From SR 54 turn north onto Oakstead Blvd., then east (right) onto Lake Patience Road and follow the signs. The shelter is northwest of Oakstead Elementary School.
