Our new location is 3101 W. 2nd St., Owensboro, KY 42301. Our facilities are located across from the Thompson Berry Soccer Fields. Our entrance is located at the end of Carter Road, first driveway entrance to the left. Our new phone number is (270) 302-6813.
We have enjoyed our new location thanks to all the wonderful support from the community. We want to extend our thanks to all of you who make it possible for us to do what we do-you are really contributing to our community and the lives of the animals in this community.
Although we have had an increase in adoptions, there are still so many animals that need a good home. We currently have waiting lists that are months long for animals that still need to come in to our doors. Perhaps you have been thinking about adopting...if so, please stop by our facility and meet your newest family member!
If you are interested in playing an even more active role, we encourage you to call and inquire about volunteering. Since we are open daily, there is plenty of work to be done. Come on down and walk a dog or play with a kitten. We would love to have you!
Who We Are
We are the only NO-KILL animal shelter in the Daviess County area and are an independent, non-profit organization. Even though we are small in size, we are big at heart. Our size and fund restrictions limit the amount of animals we can rescue; however, we are dedicated to help as many animals as possible.
Adopting a friend
Our goal is to place animals in a happy and healthy environment and that this placement be for life. As the temporary haven for these homeless animals, we take our responsibility very seriously. Our caretakers spend many hours with the animals and can assist you in choosing an animal that will enrich your family life and who in turn will also have an enriched life themselves.
Placing an animal with our Humane Society
Since we are not county or city funded, we have limited funds and space available. If you have an animal that you would like us to place, please contact us to see if we have an opening. Currently, we have a waiting list for both cats and dogs but will be happy to put you on our waiting list and will contact you when we have an available opening.
