The 3nd Annual Run Run Rudolph Family 5K Run & Walk will take place on Saturday, December 6, 2014 starting at 3:00 p.m. in the parking lot of NRH2O Family Water Park, 9001 Boulevard 26. This year’s event will benefit the North Richland Hills Animal Adoption & Rescue Center and the NRH Centre Scholarship Fund.
Participants are encouraged to dress in your fun and festive holiday attire! Stay after the run/walk to enjoy Night of Holiday Magic from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at NRH2O Family Water Park. The Adoption Center always needs donations of cat litter, cat and dog food both canned and dry, laundry detergent, bleach, dish soap and as always money donations. Money donations can be made online at www.nrhtx.com/donations. The Center is also into recycling and accept the following: newspapers to line cages, old towels and blankets, and empty/clean aluminum cans and ink cartridges to recycle with all the money going to the animals.
The NRH AARC is an "NBR" (Neuter Before Release) Facility. All dogs and cats are altered before they leave the adoption center for their new home. The adoption fee is $100 and that includes the pet's spaying/neutering, first booster vaccinations, an intestinal wormer and a microchip for identification. If the pet is old enough they will also receive a rabies vaccinations. Dogs six months of age and older are also heartworm tested. Pets that will live in the City of North Richland Hills will also be given a free one year city registration.
Senior citizens (over 65 years of age) and North Richland Hills City employees are eligible for a discounted adoption fee. Contact the Adoption Center for more information.
The North Richland Hills Animal Adoption & Rescue Center (NRH AARC) is owned and operated by the City of North Richland Hills, Texas. The center is dedicated to the "4 R's" - RESCUE unwated animals, REDUCE pet over population, RETURN pets to their homes and REHOME pets in loving, protective homes.
