The Animal Rescue Site is hosting a special challenge for Petfinder.com rescue groups. The grand prize is a $10,000 grant, and they will be awarding many other grants to rescue groups with the most votes — a total of $100,000 in grants for animal welfare organizations.
Think how many animals we could help for $10,000!
Help us win! All you have to do is (1) click to help rescued animals, and then (2) vote in The Animal Rescue Site $100,000 Shelter+ Challenge. Both of these actions are absolutely free! You can vote once a day, every day, from January 18th through April 18th, 2010. Every time you vote, or tell a friend to vote, you are making a huge difference for us.
Who We Are...
Noah's Ark was founded in 1999 by a group of friends who wanted to make a difference in the lives of homeless pets. Since it's inception in 1999, Noah's Ark has placed over 9,100 homeless animals in lifelong, loving homes! Supported solely by donations, memberships and adoption fees, Noah's Ark is comprised of a network of talented and dedicated volunteers whose goal is to "adopt one-by-one, until there are none." Noah's Ark serves as an adoption placement agency for hundreds of dogs and cats each year. Our volunteers partner with various rescue organizations and shelters to re-home unwanted or abandoned animals. Our volunteers conduct marketing, adoption match-making, weekend adoption events, fundraising, and temporary foster care to promote the adoption of family-friendly pets.
If you see a potential new friend on our site and want to know how the two of you can get together, just contact us with the name of the cat or dog and description. Please complete and return (via e-mail or fax) our “Matchmaking Questionnaire.” This tool helps us match the preferences of potential adopters with the individual needs and personality of our pets.
Our volunteers provide one-on-one consultation with every potential adopter, answering questions and helping people choose the animal best suited to their lifestyle and family. All of our pets are fostered in the homes of experienced volunteers who learn their unique personalities and provide individual attention, maximum socialization, and basic training in a cage-free environment. Many of our pets are fostered in homes with children and other pets, making them more adaptable to similar environments in their adoptive homes.
