New Moon Farm is a 501(c)(3) non-profit animal shelter and sanctuary located in Arlington, WA. Our six acre farm is home to a small, permanent herd of rescued horses, goats, sheep, cats and dogs, as well as an ever revolving cast of foster animals. Though our primary focus is goat rescue, we also foster cats, dogs, sheep and horses for other recognized rescue organizations, as the need arises. We do not, however, take in horses, dogs or cats directly. Donations are gladly accepted, though our website at www.newmoonfarm.org.
All adoptions at New Moon Farm are preceded by personal visits to prospective homes. We are looking for homes where the animals will receive personal attention regularly - where they will be seen as pets, and family members, rather than as lawn mowers. Safe, secure fencing, adequate shelter and proper veterinary care are the minimum requirements for a new home. Goats will only be placed in pairs, or in homes which already have another goat or horse. No herd animal is happy alone - companionship is vital to their health and happiness. Once a home is approved, an adoption contract is required, which does include a "no breeding" clause.
If you are interested in adopting, or need to surrender a goat or sheep, please call or email for an appointment. We also have several work parties a year, and help is always appreciated. If you are interested in volunteering at New Moon Farm, please drop us a line! Thanks for your interest in adopting a rescued goat or sheep! ellen
