READY FOR ADOPTION

A NOTE ABOUT OZZIE
Ozzie's time for living had come to an end at the shelter he was at. This shelter is forced to put dogs down do to lack of space. An email is sent out with a list of animals that have 48 hours to be either adopted or rescued. Ozzie is one of the lucky ones that was rescue by Dawn of newdawn dog rescue until she can help find him a new companion, family & home that he can call his own.

Ozzie is around 6 to 8 years old, is a small sized dog, weight at 15 pounds. He is neutered, up to date with routine shots. Ozzie is a Shih Tzu hug a bug, with a mellow happy personality, enjoys belly rubs, and being close to his companion. He likes to fall asleep on your lap. Ozzie has a under bite as you can see in his picture and video, it just adds to his personality. He knows how to use the large doggy door, is very smart, did not get car sick in my car. Does well around the other dogs here as you can see in the video, he may be a good companion to take to work, if you're allowed, he loves to sleep at your feet..

A NOTE ABOUT HARRIET
Harriet's time for living had come to an end at the shelter she was at. This shelter is forced to put dogs down do to lack of space. An email is sent out with a list of animals that have 48 hours to be either adopted or rescued. Harriet is one of the lucky ones that was rescue by Dawn of newdawn dog rescue until she can help find Harriet a new companion, family & home that she can call her own.

Harriet is around 8 years old, is a small sized dog, weight at 18 pounds. She is spayed, up to date with routine shots. Harriet is a Lhasa Apso little princess mix, with a mellow happy personality, enjoys belly rubs, and being close to her companion. She likes to fall asleep on your lap. Harriet's eyes are sensitive to bright light because I think she has always had fur covering her eyes, as you can see in the video of her outside, when she's in the house, her eyes are wide open and appear to be just fine. Harriet knows how to use the large doggy door, is very smart, did not get car sick in my car. Does well around the other dogs here as you can see in the video, she may be a good companion to take to work, if you're allowed, she loves to sleep at your feet..

Every year, between 8 and 10 million dogs and cats enter U.S. shelters; some 4 to 5 million of these animals are euthanized (killed with no pain) because there are not enough homes for them.

2001 15% 44% 38%
2002 14% 65% 21%
2003 16% 67% 17%
2004 18% 75% 7%
2005 18% 78% 4%

For fostered animals, please e-mail or call NEWDAWN DOG RESCUE, we try to up date shots, spayed or neutered, and heart worm test all fostered dogs before adopting them out. There will be a adoption donation fee for the fostered rescued animals of at least $80.00 or more, to help rescue, provide medical care, spay and neuter, board and place other abandoned animals. Please Understand that any donation or contribution is a gift freely given, not as a purchase price for an animal.

NEWDAWN DOG RESCUE is a private non-profit organization not affiliated with the Nevada County Ca. Animal Shelter or any other agency, organization or individual(s). Since we do not do temperament screening, we do not warrant the temperament of any of the animals listed on this site.
