We are a 501c3 nonprofit founded in 2000 by a group of ocncerned citizens seeking to end euthanasia as a viable means of controlling the pet overpopulation in Hancock County. Over the past few years, FRIENDS has grown and developed programs, events and educational opportunities to enhance the health and well being of the animals in Hancock County.

We feature animals in foster homes, as well as animals available at the Waveland Animal Shelter.

The Waveland Animal Shelter is located at 322 Gulfside Dr., Waveland. Phone (228) 467-0230. Adoptions fees are just $70.00 for dogs and $55.00 for cats and include spay/neuter, first vet visit, rabies shot and microchip. WE ARE CURRENTLY RUNNING A SPECIAL ON CAT/KITTEN ADOPTIONS!
