The Mississauga Humane Society is 100% volunteer-run, relying strictly on donations with no support from city/government/SPCA; a registered non-profit organization dedicated to rescuing and finding homes for cats and dogs. We provide a safe caring environment for our pets while we work diligently to find them wonderful homes with caring families. The Mississauga Humane Society is unique in that we operate without the use of shelter facilities. All of our pets are cared for by foster families during their time with us. We rescue without bias, we take in all pets in need of help regardless of age or health conditions. We are always looking for support whether it be your time, donations of toys, leashes, kennels, blankets or cash donations. Learn more about us from our Web site at: mississaugahumanesociety.com.

Mom cats and kittens are already coming in faster than we can keep up with.
If you can foster kittens or a cat family please call us at 905-271-0883.
Foster homes for dogs are always needed too!

Please consider adopting one of these featured pets!

Yes, we still have kittens for adoption!Look at those we have, and take your baby home today! Pictured at left is Milo.

Mishka is a gentle young female cat with a soft long coat. She needs a home where she'll get a lot of attention and will have another cat friend. She would do well in a home with a stay-home person who wants to dote on her. more

If you agree that black goes with everything, please consider adopting one of our gorgeous black cats. We have all ages and all coat lengths to choose from. Black cats, like big black dogs, are always the last to be adopted because people tend to prefer other colours. Yet purr-sonality has to do with the individual and a cat of any colour is a fabulous pet! Black cats are beautiful, shiny and sleek, and in many cultures they are considered good luck. What could be better than beauty and good luck in one package? If you are looking to adopt a cat, please consider giving a home to a wonderful black cat like Hayley, Hero, Julie, Heaven, Chase, Ambi or Eddie. Or if you prefer, a black cat with a little bit of white like Typsy, Pookie, Punkin... browse through our pages and find your next companion!
