Our Adoptable Pet List

Our Happy Tails (Adopted) Pets!

Attention All Animal Lovers!!!

Menifee Valley Humane Society is having a membership drive and would be glad to have you working hand-in-hand with us to help animals! As with any good cause, help from the community is what makes a difference in the lives of everyone--humans, animals, and all living things. Saving pets is more rewarding than most other things we can do in life. Menifee Valley Humane Society is an all volunteer animal welfare organization that is dependent on the good will and talents of our friends and volunteers. There is much satisfying and challenging volunteer work to be done and many areas in which to participate, including computer work, maintaining our Internet site, digital photography, phones, fostering homeless dogs or cats, public relations/advertising, fundraising, microchipping, spay/neuter program, and helping at special events.

Who We Are

Founded in 1976, we are an all volunteer animal welfare organization that is dependent on the good will and talents of our friends and volunteers. Our focus is to promote community education on responsible pet care and ownership, which is a lifetime commitment--for the life of the pet. Through education, it is our hope that both children and adults will learn the importance of responsible pet care, including spaying and neutering to help solve the problem of pet overpopulation. Here is an important fact from the Humane Society of the United States: "Every time a person is born in America, so are 15 dogs and 45 cats, too many for the number of available homes." This illustrates the magnitude of the pet overpopulation crisis. It is also important to be aware of the fact that many homeless dogs and cats end up in shelters and are killed. Everyone must do their part by spaying and/or neutering their pet! By working together, we can help reduce pet overpopulation and save lives!

Please note: Since we have no shelter or facility, any animals we rescue and/or take in are cared for in foster homes until permanent homes can be found.

Adopting a friend

When you adopt a rescued animal, you are not only doing a good deed, but you are saving a life! Adopting a rescued animal is also part of the solution to the crisis of pet overpopulation. There are many deserving and wonderful dogs and cats who find themselves homeless through no fault of their own. Often times people think they want a puppy or a kitten, and many adult animals are overlooked. Did you know that many of these adult animals never find another home? Please consider giving these deserving dogs and cats a second chance at a good home. Thank you. If you are interested in adopting one of our animals, our adoption process includes completing an application; and if you decide to adopt, an adoption contract must be completed. A tax deductible donation ranging from $50 to $150 is requested. Please note your donation does not reimburse us for any money we spent on your animal; rather, it is used to help pay for all of the expenses incurred with our rescue program.

Spay/Neuter Vouchers Available

Spay/neuter vouchers in the amount of $50 for dogs and $25 for cats are available for residents of Riverside County through POPCO (Pet Over Population Coalition). Phone POPCO at 1-877-44POPCO or 1-877-447-6726 and leave a message. A POPCO volunteer will call you back and take your information. The County of Riverside then mails the vouchers to you in 7-10 days, along with a list of participating veterinarians and clinics.
