Joanna McManus D.V.M. and Arkansans for Animals low cost spay/neuter clinic is returning to Mena
in upcoming months. Every surgery is a positive step towards balancing the number of animals who need homes to the number of homes available to them. To receive an appointment

Who We Are
The Humane Society of the Ouachitas (HSO) is a non-profit organization providing shelter, medical help and new homes for Polk county's homeless and abused
animals. HSO is also a no-kill shelter. We have many dogs, cats, kittens and puppies of all shapes and sizes waiting for new permanent homes and people of
their own. We are open 5 days a week. Come out today and adopt a new furry friend!

The Humane Society of the Ouachitas: Where your best friend is waiting! We have many great companions waiting for their own people to love and make smile.
Please choose carefully as your new dog or cat will want to live with you for the rest of their life. Dogs and cats often live 12 to 15 years.
Dog adoption fee is $50.00. Cat adoption fee is $30.00. We feature "Special Pets of the Week" whose fees are half price that week!

Our shelter is located at 368 Polk County Road 50, Mena, Arkansas, 71953. We are 1.2 miles east of Hwy 71
South, on Polk 50. Watch carefully for the sign - Polk 50 forks to the
left off Hwy 71 and is just outside Mena city limit heading southbound on Hwy
71.
