Foster Homes Needed
Some animals need a little more special attention than others.
Many of our dogs that have been house pets have a very hard time adjusting in a shelter. They are often too fearful to show their best side here. If you are willing to open your door and your heart to a foster please let us know. You and your foster pet will receive our full support as we work together to find a forever home.

Who We Are
We are an open door shelter who holds the contract for animal services for the City of Chattanooga. The mission of the Animal Care Trust / dba McKamey Animal Center is to protect animals from neglect, abuse and exploitation; to advocate for their interests and welfare; to reduce the unwanted pet population through an effective spay/neuter program; and to inspire and educate our citizens toward an awareness and compassion for all living beings.
Adopting A Friend
The dogs and cats we care for are very important to us! Every dog and cat adopted from our Center will be spayed or neutered, vaccinated, dewormed, heartworm or Felv tested and microchipped.
