For the Love of Animals

Who we are

We are a no-kill, all-breed rescue group with foster homes in Joplin, Neosho, Webb City, Nevada ( Missouri) & Labette Co., (Kansas)

We have been in the animal welfare field for 15+ years in the 4-State area, volunteering at area shelters, rescuing, nursing, fostering, and finding homes for many needy pets, young and old. We organized fundraisers and volunteered in many events to help homeless critters

We are a very small non-profit group recognized by the State of Missouri; a handful of friends with a common goal: to help as many homeless pets as possible by providing veterinarian and foster care, spaying/ neutering and finding a loving home where they can be happy forever. We do not have a shelter per se, only a few foster homes.

One of our goals is to offer the families looking for an addition to their nest, healthy & well-behaved pets; so, we bring the pets to local veterinarians for check-ups and they are placed in approved foster homes to evaluate personality & vet provide treatment when needed

Since pet personality varies we try to find the right match and when that doesn't occur, will take the adopted pets back and re-home them as needed.

Happy families & happy pets = perfect formula

The founder of the group, Bea Caviglia, participated in several seminars and workshops presented by the Humane Soc. of the United States in different States, which cover subjects as: pet health, behavior, disaster planning, humane and environmental education and others. She has also been involved with the Petfinder team for many years.

On behalf of our foster pets, MANY THANKS for any contributions; we operate working part-time in other fields and by donations only, not receiving funds from any entity.

As everybody, we are facing tough times with many pets needing homes more than ever, so your help, more than ever, is greatly appreciated

Several VETERINARIAN REFERENCES can be sent upon request. FeLV/FIV tests (cats) and Heartworm tests (dogs) as well as fecal exams and vaccinations are done before a pet goes up for adoption. We spent significant amounts of money to bring pets to health after rescuing from shelters or abuse, neglect, accidents or common health issues.

Donations for vet care can be sent to::

OUR WORK AT A GLANCE

SEPTEMBER 30, 2009 - HAPPY NEWS

MANY THANKS so much to all the caring families that gave a loving home to one (or more) of our foster pets.

MANY THANKS as well to those who give us financial donations to make the rescue of more precious lives possible).

We are thrilled to inform that since our foundation in May 2005, we have found caring homes for 1,561 homeless pets.

We rescue pets mainly from overcrowded area shelters and pets that have been abandoned/ neglected/abused or have been the innocent victims of natural disasters.

We do many mobile adoptions in different areas, through Petfinder and working with other rescue groups & families in the 4-States area.

Several cats/kittens can be seen at PetSmart -Joplin during the week and the pups/dogs on Saturdays or by appt. through email.

We are maxed out so we BEG you to SPAY or NEUTER your pets - this is the ONLY answer to pet overpopulation. Thousands of nice, healthy but unwanted pets are euthanized each year in shelters around our area - THERE ARE NO HOMES FOR THEM ALL, regardless how big the shelters or the rescue groups are.
