We do not have a physical shelter, our dogs and puppies are in private foster homes, NONE OF THEM are in New Gloucester, ME, this is a mailing address ONLY.

The adoption fees are necessary to feed them, pay for their veterinary care and to pay for gas to get them to and from the vet clinics, over 50 miles away, and to get them to the transport on Fridays, over 100 miles away. The adoption fee also pays for heartworm treatment, when necessary, surgeries, when necessary and training & evaluation, when necessary.

IF you are interested in adopting, the FIRST step is to complete an Application!! If there is more than one decision maker in the home, all of them should be in agreement! Thank you for your understanding and consideration and for helping the dogs and puppies in need!
Once we receive your application you will get a reply with email and phone contact info for the rescuer and foster Mom to ask specifics about the dog or puppy you are interested in!

Loyal Heart Puppy Adoptions, a New England based adoption coordinating organization, working with her Tennessee, Mississippi & Alabama affiliate rescues, would like to thank all of our adopters for the invaluable service you are providing by loving and adopting a dog or puppy that would otherwise be killed in a southern shelter. Your adoptions have provided room for more dogs and puppies to be pulled and saved.

The state of Maine*s required quarantine is 2 days for dogs over 6 months and 5 days for puppies under 6 months. All NH dogs and puppies are required by the state of NH to go into a licensed NH 48 hour quarantine facility, there will be another fecal done 48 hours later on Monday and a NH health certificate will be given to the dog or puppy. There are a few quarantine facilities in the state of NH, their boarding rates and vet costs vary, these will be paid by the the adopter, in addition to the adoption fee and the transport cost, upon pick up of your dog or puppy at the quarantine facility on Monday afternoon.
