Dogs of the Month

OLLIE!!

OLLIE is a male Basset Hound mix estimated at 6 yrs of age. Ollie came to the shelter as a stray. Ollie is a very sweet dog and adores people. He does well on a leash and also rides well in a car. Could you be that special someone for Ollie to love?

SADIE!

SADIE is a female small Beagle mix estimated at 9 mths of age. Sadie came to the shelter from the Mt. Pleasant area of Louisa. Sadie is a low rider, meaning she has short legs and a longer body style. She is small, only weighing 15-20 lbs. And she is very sweet in nature. Sadie is a wonderful dog and so gentle, calm and loving. Though a little shy when she first came to us, she has come out of her shell. She would make any household a wonderful companion. Won't you make her part of your family?

Cats of the month

SASSY!!
SASSY is a female Medium Long Haired gray and white cat with a super sweet personality. Sassy came to the shelter when she was about 9 monthsof age (3/20/09) and nursing a litter of kittens. All of her kittens have long been adopted and Sassy has been waiting so long to find a special home of her own. We have no idea why this big, beautiful, sweet girl has not been adopted. Maybe she has been waiting just for YOU to give her a loving, forever home? Sassy is a very laid back, gentle kitty who would be a wonderful addition to any family.

FAWKES!!
FAWKES is a female Domestic Short Hair kitten with a shiney black coat. But her uniqueness lies in the fact that she has a tiny white tip on the end of her tail! So cute! We hope she doesn't outgrown this unusual marking. And look at those big gold eyes--very mesmermizing aren't they? Fawkes was rescued along with two litter mates and her mommy Cissy when they were only a few weeks old. She is now estimated at about 4 months of age (9/25/09). Fawkes' siblings have already found their own special human to love. This gorgeous girl just loves attention! She will follow you around in her room just waiting for you to pick her up and love on her. Even though she loves to play with her toys and with the other kittens at the shelter, she deserves more than that. Are you that special someone to give Fawkes a loving, forever home? Maybe she has been waiting just for YOU to take her home; you'll be glad you did!

Funding And Volunteers Needed!!! ASAP!!!

We are in terrible need of funding and volunteers for the running of the shelter. We are always over budget and it is hard to continue at this rate. If the shelter would ever close, there would be NO SHELTER for these animals in the near future. These animals will be taken to another shelter with a much lower adoption rate. If you can help us in any way, please contact the shelter before 3PM Mon-Fri at (606) 673-4509 or after hours/weekends, call Kim at 606-638-0512 or Email: potterperry41230@yahoo.com.

If you are willing to foster a dog, cat or even a litter of kittens or puppies, please call Kim at 606-638-0512 or Email: potterperry41230@yahoo.com for more details.
