Our Adoptable Pet List
Last week a very nice older lady was removed from her home and placed in an assisted living facility by APS. She had 12 cats that have been given to KATMOM in order to help them find homes. All 12 of these loving cats will be out at Super Adoptions at PETSMART this friday-sunday.
Some info on some of the cats:Cally the calico will stand on her back legs to nudge a hand looking for a few pets. Little Mama is a small white cat with grey spot who is very spunky. She has a large male Siamese mix that she calls her Caregiver, he likes to climb up in her lap & look deep into her eyes to make sure everything is all right. Tommy II is the largest cat I have ever seen. I think his head is larger than a grapefruit and he has very long tusks. This is just a sample of the wonderful animals she has rescued over the years. We will have pictures and more information all the cats posted later this week.
These animals all need to find new, loving homes. Please help them by coming and adopting one of these amazing cats!!

Our Cat of the month is "Princess"
Princess is a very sweet girl. She loves to be held, cuddled, and petted. She does okay with other animals but is a bit of a diva and would prefer to be an only cat. She loves to be the center of attention. Princess would love to find her furever home. Princess was born on 4/28/2008 and is almost 2 years old.
Our Dog of the month is "Patches"
Patches is a Border Collie or Spaniel and Lab mix. We believe she is at least 8 yrs old. She has heartworms and is being treated with a monthly prevention and is now on the road to recovery. She is doing extremely well. She is a love of a dog, is used to being outside and is unsure of herself inside. She is learning and adapting to her new foster home well. She is good with cats, and other dogs as long as they are not aggressive. Patches does really well with children. She is fully vetted and micro-chipped. She is a super nice girl and it appears that she had several litters of puppies. She is very calm, but barks if she is feeling unsure of herself. We believe that she was born around 10/21/2001.
KATMOM ALSO HAS BARN CATS TO PLACE.
These cats do not have an adoption fee. We prefer that these cats go in groups of TWO OR MORE.
WHO WE ARE
KATMOM is a non-profit, no-kill organization founded in 2003 to reduce the population of unwanted pets. Since there are so many feral and semi-feral cats wandering the streets of our neighborhoods, KATMOM decided to help take care of those animals. In the few years KATMOM has been in existence, we have successfully trapped, neutered and returned many animals back to their colonies, preventing thousands of unwanted litters of kittens. As KATMOM has grown, we now rescue abandoned, abused, and homeless cats and kittens.Dogdad grew out of Katmom's rescue efforts. We began rescuing small dogs and puppies when we would go and rescue cats and kittens on location. Since Dogdad's inception, we have networked with Animal Control offices up and down the State of California saving many dogs from the fate of the state system.
BY THE NUMBERS
In the few years KATMOM has been in existence, we have successfully trapped, neutered and returned many animals back to their colonies; as a result; we saved unwanted litters being born over the lifetime of these cats.From 2003 through 2005 Katmom TNR over 250 cats and adopted out 580
cats and kittens.In 2006-07 KATMOM was able to TNR more than 200 cats and was able to place over 1100 cats and kittens into loving homes.
In 2006-07 Dogdad was also able to rescue and place 250 dogs into new loving homes.
So far in 2008 we have TNR 100 cats and placed over 300 cats/kittens and 30 dogs into new loving homes.
ADOPTING A FRIEND

Our adoption fee is Kittens up to 1 year old $90, and Adults over one year old $20.00. That includes age appropriate vaccines, spay/neuter, micro-chipping, free veterinary wellness check, FIV/FeLV testing, and 30 days of free pet insurance.

Our adoption fees are Puppies up to 1 year $250, 1 year and older are $100 - $250, Dogs who have had dentals, boarding, or blood work $300, and Large Breed dogs will begin at $350.00 and go up depending on costs associated with their sterilization procedure and any additional procedures that are necessary and have to be done prior to their being adopted. That includes all age appropriate vaccines, spay/neuter, micro-chipping, free veterinary wellness check and heart worm testing for all dogs over one year.
Want to Help even if you can't adopt? All the money raised through adoptions and donations goes straight to our animals. Katmom and Dogdad is completely run by volunteers.

We are KatMom and are in search of someone just like you to help take care of our precious rescues! Our Job: We take care of all approved medical expenses including vaccinations, spay/neuter, and medications. We provide support and constant contact (via email/phone) so you feel you have the full support from us for help and questions. Your Job: These adorable cats need from you a warm home, food, litter, toys, play time, snuggle time, and a loving, caring heart! We work with you to help create a great fostering experience for everyone! What kind of fuzz therapy do you need? An adult cat that needs a place to rest next to you while you read your book and watch TV? Maybe baby kittens to play with after a long stressful day?
