We will be holding adoptions on September 11th and 12th at the Petsmart on Truxel Road in Sacramento. We will be there from 11-5 pm on both days. Please come and see the Kittens that are Available for adoption!! All of them are fixed, microchiped, and have their age appropriate vaccines! They are ready to go home on the same day of adoption..........

For the entire month of September we are reducing our dog adoption fee to $150.00 per dog instead of $250.00 per dog. We have some wonderful dogs Available for adoption!

Our Foster Cat of the month is "Sasha"
Sasha is a great, energetic kitten. She plays well with her foster sisters and brothers. She loves exploring and playing with other kitties as well. Sasha is a bit of a diva though and loves to be the center of attention. Sasha loves to give kisses and to be held. Her favorite toys are the laser light and playing with the plastic springs. She truely loves to be carried around and having her belly rubbed when she gets older she is going to make a great lap cat. She is ready and looking for her new FUR-ever home!!! Sasha was born on 03/08/2010
Our Foster Dog of the Month is "Molly"
Molly is a 5 year old Pit Bull mix. She is full grown and weighs about 60lbs. Molly is a really sweet girl and understands most commands. She loves to be pet and loved on. She is great with kids and other animals.Molly came to us after she was surrendered at the pound because she was no longer able to breed, she was over breed and has permenatly extended nipples. Molly is an amazingly sweet girl who is looking for her furever home! With the special on dogs this month Molly's adoption fee is $150 instead of $250!

These cats do not have an adoption fee. We prefer that these cats go in groups of TWO OR MORE.

WHO WE ARE
KATMOM is a non-profit, no-kill organization founded in 2003 to reduce the population of unwanted pets. Since there are so many feral and semi-feral cats wandering the streets of our neighborhoods, KATMOM decided to help take care of those animals. In the few years KATMOM has been in existence, we have successfully trapped, neutered and returned many animals back to their colonies, preventing thousands of unwanted litters of kittens. As KATMOM has grown, we now rescue abandoned, abused, and homeless cats and kittens.Dogdad grew out of Katmom's rescue efforts. We began rescuing small dogs and puppies when we would go and rescue cats and kittens on location. Since Dogdad's inception, we have networked with Animal Control offices up and down the State of California saving many dogs from the fate of the state system.
BY THE NUMBERS
In the few years KATMOM has been in existence, we have successfully trapped, neutered and returned many animals back to their colonies; as a result; we saved unwanted litters being born over the lifetime of these cats.From 2003 through 2005 Katmom TNR over 250 cats and adopted out 580
cats and kittens.In 2006-07 KATMOM was able to TNR more than 200 cats and was able to place over 1100 cats and kittens into loving homes.
In 2006-07 Dogdad was also able to rescue and place 250 dogs into new loving homes.
In 2008 we we able to TNR 100 cats and placed 500 cats/kittens and 90 dogs into new loving homes.
In 2009 we no longer have a TNR program. We were able to place 450 cats/kittens and 110 dogs into new loving homes.
So far in 2010 we still do not have a TNR program and currently have only placed 100 cats/kittens and 30 dogs into new loving homes.
ADOPTING A FRIEND
If you would like to adopt one of KATMOM's kitties or dogs, please e-mail us to start the process. adoptions@katmom.com. Our adoption fee is Kittens up to 1 year old $90, and Adults over one year old $40.00. That includes age appropriate vaccines, spay/neuter, micro-chipping, free veterinary wellness check, FIV/FeLV testing, and 30 days of free pet insurance.
If you would like to adopt one of Dogdad's dogs, please e-mail to start the process. adoptions@katmom.com. Our adoption fees are Puppies up to 1 year $250, 1 year and older are $100 - $250, Dogs who have had dentals, boarding, or blood work $300, and Large Breed dogs will begin at $350.00 and go up depending on costs associated with their sterilization procedure and any additional procedures that are necessary and have to be done prior to their being adopted. That includes all age appropriate vaccines, spay/neuter, micro-chipping, free veterinary wellness check, 30 days of free pet insurance, and heart worm testing for all dogs over one year.
Want to Help even if you can't adopt? All the money raised through adoptions and donations goes straight to our animals. Katmom and Dogdad are completely run by volunteers, there are no paid positions within the group.

Need Temporary Fuzz Therapy??? We have the solution for you!!! We have kittens and cats that need a temporary loving home! We are KatMom and are in search of someone just like you to help take care of our precious rescues! Our Job: We take care of all approved medical expenses including vaccinations, spay/neuter, and medications. We provide support and constant contact (via email/phone) so you feel you have the full support from us for help and questions. Your Job: These adorable cats need from you a warm home, food, litter, toys, play time, snuggle time, and a loving, caring heart! We work with you to help create a great fostering experience for everyone! What kind of fuzz therapy do you need? An adult cat that needs a place to rest next to you while you read your book and watch TV? Maybe baby kittens to play with after a long stressful day?
