Karmana Farm specializes in Natural Animal Care. We use homeopathy, herbal remedies and natural supplements in addition to healthy grain free foods, sunshine, exercise & fresh air and lots of love for each of our special friends. Conventional veterinary care is provided as needed, most often at the time of initially coming into our program.

We also serve as a unique resource to the rescue and adoption communities, both locally & nationally. For more information on professional level consultation on the use of natural and holistic animal care, please contact us by e-mail.

Adopting A Friend

Adoption Application:

• Please e-mail your Name, Phone Number, Home Address.
• Include the name of the Karmana Farm adoptable pet you are considering, and tell us a little about your interest in this animal.
• Include the Name and Phone Number of your Veterinarian or Holistic Animal Care Provider. We check the this reference as part of the adoption process.
• If an animal is listed on our website, that animal is available for adoption. 
• Application is not a guarantee of adoption. Our Adoption process includes a "Meet & Greet" and "Home Visit", both by appointment. We will request a personal reference during the adoption process.
• We are able to respond more quickly to e-mail applications than phone calls.

Who We Are

Our family has been providing comfort and rescue to abandoned, abused, special needs and former shelter animals since 2002. We help and heal a few animals at a time and offer life to ones other programs cannot consider.

We limit the number of animals in our program so that each can be managed individually, based on their unique history & needs. The minimum Adoption Fee is set at $175 for any animal in our program; this does not come close to covering the actual expenses associated with this level of care, but does defray a portion of the expenses associated with the rehabilitation and adoption process. We are grateful that most of our adopters have been very generous in supporting our rescue work. We ONLY rescue abandoned and shelter animals scheduled for euthanasia; we no longer accept owner surrenders

Come Visit Us

Initial "Meet & Greet" and adoption "Home Visits" are by appointment.

We consider Adoptions in and around the Eastern Panhandle of WV, DC Metro Area, Northern VA, Frederick & Clarke Counties in VA, Central & Western MD, South Central PA.

We limit adoptions to these areas due to our ability to provide quality Post-Adoption Support.
