Adoption Events

We will be holding adoptions this Saturday, April 21st from 11am- 3pm. We will have dogs and cats available. Come meet your next best friend!
 
Adopting a Friend Procedure
Adopting a friend is EASY!! Because we love our animals so much, we require an application, application approval, home visit, and an adoption fee ($85-$200). Dog adoption fees are $100 to $200 and cat adoption fees are $85 to $100. We only adopt to families that live in Jacksonville, Florida and surrounding areas (Northeast Florida).

Unfortunately, we are not able to accept any new animals at this time - this includes "pet of the day". Please contact your local no-kill shelter for assistance.




HOW CAN YOU HELP US?


Donate a Bed
Our dogs and cats love to sleep on Kuranda beds, but we don't have enough for everyone. If you would like to donate a bed at a special wholesale price for another dog or cat to sleep in comfort, please donate a Kuranda bed.

Who We Are

K & C Pet Rescue and Adoption Society, Inc is a small no-kill shelter founded in 1977 by Kay Timmerman. We are dedicated to finding the best new homes possible for our adoptable treasures. K & C supports and encourages the spay and neuter of all pets! We operate 100% from donations and volunteers. We are a 501C3 charity and registered with the state of Florida. ALL donations are tax deductible. PLEASE DONATE TODAY!

Even if you can't adopt a pet, we can STILL use your help. We are in desperate need of the following: volunteers, foster homes, dry and canned dog & cat food, dog and cat crates, Advantage, Frontline, Heartgard, and monetary donations!! You can drop your donations off at PetSmart Regency. Financial donations can be made right here! Click on the "Make a Donation" button above. Our animals appreciate your donations!!

Emails will be returned at this volunteer's earliest convenience. Come to PetSmart or Petco (950 Marsh Landing Pkwy) to discuss specifics on each animal. We rotate adoption events between PetSmart Regency (904-724-4600), PetSmart St. John's Town Center (904-997-1335), PetSmart Southside (904-519-8878) and Petco Marsh Landing (904 273-0964). We would love to see you there.
