To apply to adopt one of our K9 friends, you may fill out an online application by clicking here. We do reference checks and home visits, and prefer and sometimes insist on fenced yards for our companion dogs. Please remember that these furkids have come from all kinds of situations, not all of them good ones, and so they may have their own "baggage", so to speak. We recommend obedience classes to all new adopters of our dogs. This not only ensures a well-mannered dog, but helps in the bonding process. UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES WILL WE WILL ADOPT ANY OF OUR DOGS TO ANYONE WISHING TO KEEP THEM AS "OUTSIDE" DOGS! Our dogs are family companions and should be treated as such.

I'm a young boxer/beagle mix with velvety soft fur who loves to snuggle and give kisses. I don't bark much and love to play with everyone and everything - kids, cats, dogs, horses.
I'm housetrained, spayed and up to date with all my shots. I'd love to find a home that has another dog so I can have a playmate.

Adopting a friend
It is easy to want a dog. It is easy to love a dog. But it takes time and commitment to have a dog in your home. Please do not take adoption lightly. It is a lifetime commitment for the life of the pet.
Our adoption area is limited to a 150 mile radius or a 3 hour drive from the Quad City area. There are exceptions, but they are rare. Our adoption fee is $195.
We do take in owner surrenders. However, the dog must be up to date on all vaccinations, altered, heartworm negative, and free from internal and external parasites. We do not require a fee for you to surrender your companion dog to us. Please email debbie@k9kindnessrescue.org for more information!
