WHO WE ARE
Joey's Home Senior Dog Rescue is a small, independent rescue dedicated to the rescue/placement of senior/special needs dogs. All efforts are made to adopt our seniors to loving, responsible homes if possible, or to effect a transfer to another rescue organization. If our dogs are unable to be placed, they will live out the rest of their retirement in a foster home, receiving any hospice care required. We believe no senior's life should end alone in an animal shelter or pound.

Joey's Home is a recently established rescue, and is still a fairly small outfit right now. As it stands at this moment, we have only one foster home. Funds and space are limited, but needs are endless. There are thousands of senior dogs out there who desperately need to be pulled from shelters, seen by a vet, and placed in foster care.
Joey’s Home needs foster homes for our seniors to be safe in. We provide a new collar and leash, and pay for veterinary care for our dogs. Foster homes are asked to provide food and other supplies. Some of our dogs are placed in adoptive homes quickly, but with seniors there is always the chance that the foster situation will be permanent. If you are interested in helping to save a senior's life by becoming a foster home either short- or long-term, please contact Andrea at email@example.com. Thank you!!!
ADOPTING A FRIEND
Before a potential adopter can meet our rescues, an application must be filled out. We require personal and veterinary references, as well as a home visit. When possible, we will bring the pet to your home for the home visit to meet your family and pets.
We do require an adoption fee for our pets. The fees range from $50-300, depending on the health and age of the animal. The cost of veterinary care, especially for seniors, is very high. Most of our dogs come in with no previous vetting, and the adoption fees we charge help defray the cost of getting them ready for a new home. Our dogs are spayed/neutered, up-to-date on vaccinations, heartworm negative and on preventative, and microchipped.
PLEASE NOTE: We do offer discounts on the adoption fees for senior adopters (ages 65 and up) and for multiple adoptions. Ask for details!
MEETING THE DOGS
Animals are available to view by appointment only. Please email us if you're interested in meeting any of our pets!
