Who We Are
We are a non-profit 501(C)3 organization located in Northeast Tennessee. Our current focus is to control pet overpopulation in our county with spay / neuter grants and adoptions.
Our Meetings
Please come! Our monthly meeting is held on the first Tuesday of each month. We hold the meetings in the First United Methodist Church, 128 N. Church St., Mountain City, TN. Our meetings start at 6 P.M. We encourage people of all ages who are interested in the welfare of animals to join our society! Visitors are always welcome at our friendly meetings. We are a group of animal lovers and we love to meet other animal lovers. It doesn't matter what your area of interest is, dogs, cats, horses, pigs, llamas, ferrets, etc. We welcome everyone. Dress is very casual; visit and be comfortable!

Donations
We have two recycling programs . #1- Aluminum can (please, no tin) recycling with the collection bins just outside the north entrance to the Mountain City Food Lion or between Food Country and Auto Zone. #2- Printer and toner cartridge recycling (except Epson brand ) AND digital cell phones. We send in for recycling your used cartridges that have not been previously refilled and digital (please make sure they are digital!) cell phones. Just bag them up and deposit them in the food collection bin at Mountain City Food Lion. Things like stainless steel non-tippable dog and cat bowls, travel crates, toys for dogs and cats, treats for dogs and cats, collars, harnesses and leashes are always needed. Dogs love to play with used footballs and soccer balls. The more worn the better. Food is always needed, especially puppy and kitten food as well as dog biscuits. We have a food donation bin decorated with a picture of a cat and a dog located at Food Lion. Monetary donations are of course always welcome and much needed! Mail to JCHSI, PO Box 307, Mountain City, TN 37683. For more information please call the information line at (423)768-0896 or email jchsipac@wildblue.net
