In Good Hands Animal Sanctuary is a non-profit, no-kill, all volunteer organization founded in 2002. We are dedicated to rescuing abandoned, abused, and neglected dogs/puppies and cats/kittens. Our animals live in foster homes or at the sanctuary where they live in a loving, attentive environment. Our animals are only caged upon arrival, until they are vet checked and vaccinated. Once they are comfortable in their surroundings, they are free to mingle with the other animals. Our goal is to find adoptive homes for our animals, however; some of our animals are not adoptable due to chronic health problems, handicaps, behavior problems, or old age. These animals will spend their lives at the sanctuary. Our focus is to reduce numbers of homeless animals, and the number of animals euthanized in our community. We teach the importance of spaying and neutering pets. We depend totally on our volunteers and donations.
If you would like to adopt one of our precious animals, we would like to hear from you. We are sorry, but we cannot do out-of-state (OHIO)adoptions. You may see our animals by appointment only. Please email us at ndawn@horizonview.net. We will conduct a home visit prior to all adoptions. In Good Hands will accept all animals back into our care, if they do not work out for any reason. Our adoption fee for kittens is $60 cats $75, puppies $100, and dogs $125. The adoption fee includes an examination by our veterinarian, spay or neuter (if old enough), worming, and up-to-date vaccinations. Dogs receive Heartworm testing, and cats are tested for Feline Leukemia.. The adoption fee is used to help more animals in need.
