FOR MORE INFORMATION ON HOW YOU CAN BE A HERO TO A HOMELESS MALAMUTE!

THANK YOU FOR YOUR CONSIDERATION AND KINDNESS.

This is IAMRA's "Sanctuary Sweetheart" Dear Dinah

Poor Dinah, a very sweet Malamute, was out of time at a downstate pound. What a tragic loss it would have been for such a deserving girl.
Although she is happy and so full of life, she has been with us, for over a year, and her physical condition has sadly deteriorated. First, she had a tumor removal, then recurrent bladder issues, and now, poor Dinah, has rather severe arthritis in her hips and spine which make her much more tender and an unlikely candidate for adoption. She is in a wonderful foster home and IAMRA, of course, will continue to do everything we can to keep this sweet, 9 or 10 year old girl in the best shape possible. Her life will be filled with love and happiness as one of IAMRA’s Sanctuary Sweethearts.
Everyone deserves to have someone...especially the seniors who have spent theirs lives loving or looking for love to find them.

You can help us, help them, with a donation for their support.
No Donation is ever too small to show you care. Thank you for your kindness. You have helped heal a heart today.

This is IAMRA's "Sanctuary Sweetheart" Our Dapper Dakota

Our handsome senior, Dakota, is our IAMRA mascot and also a "Sanctuary Sweetheart.".
He has shown us, time and again, that we are his family, and with all of us he will have the forever home he has dreamed of.
Dakota has many, volunteers who give him attention and love. He appreciates, his very extended IAMRA family, and enjoys all of the extra special attention that he receives. With all the loving volunteers, IAMRA will definately care for him always.
The help of his generous sponsors, and donations, make it possible to keep a Sanctuary Sweetheart, vetted, fed, groomed and housed....
The love that it provided, by our volunteers, costs nothing but is surely Priceless and oh so appreciated!
Thank you for possibly considering sponsoring Dakota, or any of our Very Special, "Sanctuary Sweethearts." Your kindness helps us to provide for all their needs...and with comprimised and aged dogs, the vetting and medical expenses far exceed standard vetting. IAMRA pledges itself to their complete care.

Please consider helping a "Sanctuary Sweetheart" enjoy life.
Their pasts have not been easy and the economy has forced many old dogs to be separated from their families,
with little hope, of adoption, due to costly medical needs or just because they are old.
IAMRA, with the helpful support of donations, will make sure that the futures, of our Sanctuary Sweethearts, will be filled with happiness, sunshine, comfort and oh so much love...
That we promise you!
No donation is ever too small when it comes to helping a dog and IAMRA sincerely appreciates your heartfelt consideratin. Your Donation is an investment in the Golden Years of a dog who would have had no future at all.
Your Kindness of Heart and Caring Thoughtfulness, for these special needs dogs, IS Priceless TOO!
Please know that IAMRA's Appreciation, to you, runs deep and true.

IAMRA IS A 501c3 CHARITY!

If you are interested in any of the dogs, we have for adoption,
please visit us at WWW.IAMRA.ORG to fill out an online adoption application.

What Does IAMRA smell like?...

Wooooooo...Smells GOOD!

IAMRA is a not for profit organization established to shelter and care for purebred Alaskan Malamutes which have been abandoned, turned into shelters, or are in need of a new home. The dogs are placed in temporary foster homes (or a boarding kennel if foster homes are not available) until a permanent home can be found. Our commitment is to place each dog in the best new permanent home to give them a second chance in life.

Prospective families that wish to adopt an Alaskan Malamute will be interviewed. Basic information about the family, home situation, pet ownership history and why they want an Alaskan Malamute is requested. Our goal is to achieve a successful match between the dog and the adopting family. We want a happy ending to every rescue story, and part of that process is selecting a suitable dog to fit into the lifestyle and needs of the adopting family.

Don't leave them in the cold...Become a FOSTER HOME:

We try our best to keep all of our dogs in foster homes and not in kennels. Unfortunately, due to the economy, and number of dogs who are being relinquished to shelters, we have many more dogs, in need, than we have, available foster care homes. Foster care can range from a few weeks to a few months, or more, depending upon the adoption rate and the amount of time that a foster home can give. Please call us for details. This makes such a big difference to a dog who needs love.

If you have a little extra room in your home, and your heart, please consider fostering a homeless Malamute. You could make a difference and change their world and bring another needy dog in out of a cold, homeless world!
Please contact us at vicky@iamra.org or visit our website WWW.IAMRA.ORG.

Please Help Make them smile again...Thank you for your consideration.

Adopting a friend...Means a Hug Furever more...

Each Alaskan Malamute has an adoption fee, which covers some of the expenses of the dog while it was in rescue (medical expenses, feeding expenses, boarding expenses, etc.). Adoption fees are as follows:

$200 for adult dogs, $250 for puppies under 12 months, and $100 for seniors 8 and over.

Our dogs are current on all shots, heartworm negative and on preventative, microchipped, and spayed/neutered. All rescue Alaskan Malamutes receive the following veterinary care: spayed or neutered, microchipped, heartworm test, fecal exam, DHLPPC & rabies shots, and bordatella shot.

After veterinary care, the dog is placed into a foster home for socialization and evaluation of temperament quirks, likes and dislikes until adopted.

If you are interested in one of our dogs, please go to our website at www.iamra.org and fill out the adoption information form. Dogs may be viewed on weekends, and only occasionally during the week. Please EMAIL us vicky@iamra.org to set up an appointment.
