King's Community Kitchen needs your help. Our pet food pantry is almost
completely empty and we need unopened dog and cat food to help the community feed their
pets. Our goal is to help financially strapped people keep their pets and not have to
surrender them to local animal shelters. We also accept monetary donations that go directly
to buying food to keep King's Community Kitchen stocked.

HOT DOGS & COOL CATS DON'T MISS IT!!!!

Marcie needs your help!
Marcie, was found on highway 231 one morning, obviously injured.
Her sister was deceased and Marcie could not move. With everyone driving by her and rain
falling down, she desperately needed help!
That help came in many ways!
Thanks to Arab Animal Control and Westside Veterinary Hospital in Arab! Before long, she
was sent to Dr. Milton in Birmingham.
Diagnosed with two broken legs and a broken hip, she is still in Birmingham under the care
of Dr. Milton and Dr. Grant for physical therapy.
Although all of Marcie's veterinarian's have been very generous with her care, GHHS still
will need help paying her bill.
You can help by making donations to "Marcie's Fund". Please contact the Greater Huntsville
Humane Society for more information on how to donate to this fund.
Stay posted for reports and pictures to see Marcie's progress!
***UPDATE*** For those of you that have not been into the shelter recently, you may not
have seen the remarkable progress
Marcie has made! Marcie was the young dog Melissa and I rescued from the side of the road
that was hit by a car and left for
dead. She is now up walking around and often times moving very quickly. Marcie loves the
outdoors, other dogs and attention.
Marcie is our "spokes model" so to speak as to the reasons why people should keep their
pets confined for their own safety.
Thank you all for working with her and for the donations to cover her expenses. You are all
wonderful and so is Marcie.
Spread the Word!
We host a Pet Loss Support group the first Monday night of each month.
