LOW COST SPAY/NEUTER VOUCHERS for low income families in Uvalde and Uvalde county available at the HSU office Monday-Tues-Wed-Thur from 10-2 and Friday 9-1p. Call 591-9229 for more information. The vouchers are discount coupons for the two local vet clinics in Uvalde. Families who receive medicaid are eligible for a coupon that makes the surgery FREE! information about HSU program, volunteer opportunities and how you can get involved.

BRING A LEASH AND COLLAR FOR DOG ADOPTIONS!
Oasis Outback in Uvalde sells ID tags where you can imprint your phone number and address. ALL PETS NEED ID! Its the only way they can be reunited in the event they are lost. 95% of ID'd pets are returned to the owner.
Who We Are
We are a local non-profit organization 501 C3 tax exempt, comprised of dedicated volunteers who want to make a difference in the community.
We are NOT affiliated with any state national or other organization. We are 100% independent and rely on grants and donations to remain open.
We are comprised of foster homes and a small kennel for new rescues. All of our pets receive the highest quality of care, both medically and in diet. Dogs are heartworm negative, on monthly prevention, as well as current on vaccinations, including bordetella, altered and they receive monthly flea/tick prevention.

Office Hours are Monday--Tuesday-Wednesday and Thursday 10-2 and Friday 9-1p. Please call ahead of time to ensure someone is available. The office is staffed by amazing volunteers, but sometime, life prevents a volunteer from being there. Its rare, but if you are traveling far or going out of your way, its always best to call. 591-9229
