Hope Haven Animal Rescue is staffed by volunteers who are dedicated to reducing the number of abandoned, abused, and uncared for pets; ultimately helping to eliminate this unfortunate cycle. We want to see a dramatic reduction of the number of animals euthanized to those that are absolutely necessary (i.e. animals that are a potential danger to society or animals that are chronically ill which can not live quality lives). We believe that by helping educate the general public, government officials, and other animal organizations about correct care and loving ownership of their pets, working with other rescue groups, and participation in bringing spay and neuter awareness to our community, we can some day achieve this goal.
Hope Haven is a small organization, but we want to help out the animals in a great way. We will take in as many needy animals as we can, as space and funding allows. Adoptable animals that come to us will remain in our care until caring, loving, responsible homes are found for them. These animals will be given proper medical care including current vaccinations and sterilization.
As resources become available, Hope Haven will expand and improve. In order to do so we need volunteers who are willing to learn new skills and be an active part in changing the way animals are treated in our community and throughout the country. We also need supplies. ANY contribution you are able to make (money to buy what the animals need, pet food and litter, building materials for kennels, etc.) will be greatly appreciated. We currently are in desperate need of someone who can build fences and shelters. We are also in desperate need of foster homes for cats. If you know of anyone who could assist with these needs please ask them to contact us.

Our Featured Pet...
Girlie Girl has been in and out of our rescue for years. She was a harder to place adult dog when she came to us due to the fact that she needs to be an only pet. She went to a nice older man where she lived happily for about a year. He then had an unfortunate health issue and could no longer keep her so she came back to us. We adopted her out to a family some time later who then moved and left her behind. She is wonderful with kids and loves to be part of the family...and easily adjusts to a new home, as long as she is the only pet. If you can give her a forever home, please call us today.
We do require a home check at the potential new pet home, a veterinarian reference if there are any other pets in the home to ensure the pets are spayed or neutered and vaccinated, and we do require a new pet parent to sign a contract as well as abide by all local, state, and federal laws.

We have moved and are in the process of rebuilding. We look forward to next spring when we can be more active again in the rescue world. However, we do still have pets that need homes, so please take a look at the list and give us a call today if one of them sound like a pet you would like to meet.
Sammy finally got the loving, active home he needed and has been there now for about six months and is doing great! Horray for Sammy!
