SMOKY
Smoky is a sweet little blue-gray cat who just want to be in a home with someone who loves her! Please go to our list of adoptable pets to see her.
News
We have placed SEVENTY-SIX dogs (one pending), seven small-and-furries, five llamas, five pygmy goats, a mini donkey, six horses, and ONE HUNDRED FIFTY cats in less than two years! (Homes CAN be found for cats if you care enough and are creative!) Thank-you to everyone who has adopted from us over the past two years.
UPDATE- For personal reasons, The HELP Rescue is shifting gears. The rescue will still function in that we will continue to help people re-home homeless critters. For instance, we have a new volunteer who rescues puppies and dogs from a local First Nation, and we are working in conjunction with her to get these puppies into forever homes. However, the foster homes where most of our critters were kept are no longer accepting animals, mainly because of people having surrendered unhealthy kittens in 2009, creating a disease problem we do not care to repeat. The main "foster-mom" finds herself preoccupied with her own critters, and very busy with her ever-increasing sheep flock. Keep an eye on our adoptable pet list, it will grow as we get pictures in of the rescued puppies!
Who We Are
The HELP Animal Rescue is a small group of individuals dedicated to re-homing any animal, regardless of species, that has no home. "HELP" stands for: Horses, Exotics, Livestock, Pets.
We encourage spay/neuter in companion animals, and we discourage horse overpopulation.
Adopting a friend
Pets, be it dogs and cats or exotics, are adopted after an application is approved. Horses and livestock may be adopted on a contract, or may be re-homed on a "sales contract" that still has conditions attached. For instance, a ewe may be purchased to enter a breeding flock, this is not quite the same as an "adoption," but the new owner is still subject to the conditions requiring proper care, etc.
