Who We Are
¨ WHO WE ARE:
We’re a group of dedicated volunteers who help shelter animals and, when possible, other strays that need our help.
What We Do
¨ WHAT WE DO:
Through our fund raising efforts, we help dogs and cats at the Upland Animal Shelter with medical treatment, antibiotics and other necessary supplies not funded by the shelter. We also help to place dogs/cats through contact with rescue organizations and private individuals seeking adoption.
Volunteers from Helping Out Pets Everyday take Upland Animal Shelter dogs/cats to Petco in Rancho Cucamonga [First and Third Saturday of the month] and to PETsMART in Upland every Saturday from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm in order to promote adoptions of impounded animals.
When we have enough funding, we also rescue out dogs/cats from the shelter and kennel them or place them in private foster homes until a qualified adoptee can be found.
We also organize all of the events at the Upland Animal Shelter:
Spay Day USA [February], Pet Theft Awareness Day [February], Pet Adoption Faire at Memorial Park [May], Homeless Animals Vigil [August], Adoption A Shelter Cat Month [June], Adopt A Shelter Dog Month [October], Blessing of the Animals [October], Shelter Appreciation Week [November] and the Christmas Appeal [December].
Non-Profit Status
¨ NON-PROFIT STATUS:
We are a tax exempt organization - officially recognized as a 501c3 non-profit organization. [September 19, 2003]
