Homeward Bound started out as a rescue group working to save animals from the local animal control facility, but we have reached out to assist in rehoming dogs from Baytown and beyond. We often look into the eyes of animals who have been abandoned, abused, neglected or otherwise find themselves alone, and we cannot turn away. We believe every animal deserves a home that will truly love them and look at them as part of the family. Few have been given the opportunity to show what amazing family pets they are. To assist each dog in achieving our goal for them, we spay or neuter, vaccinate, test for parasites and heartworms, check hair, skin and teeth, and treat as needed. All our dogs are fostered in private homes and are treated a member of a family. So we do not have hours of operation.
When you adopt from us, you have given this new friend a new life. All our pets know that they were given a second chance and they truly appreciate it. Our adoption process starts with your request for an application. Once we receive it, we will contact you.
Of all the expenses incurred by a rescue group on the Gulf Coast, heartworm treatment is the most expensive and most common. We always have numerous dogs undergoing treatment. As a small group, everything we have seems to go to the dogs, and although we give freely and without reservation, we are always happy to accept donations towards the mountainous vet bills that rescue groups always incur. You can mail a donation to Homeward Bound All Breed Rescue, P. O. Box 172, Mont Belvieu, TX 77580, or you can send a donation to Animal Alliance in our name. Thank you for helping us to help the animals in our program! We would like to thank Cedar Bayou Animal Clinic for their continuous support in our efforts.
