The best way to help your furry friends is to have them spayed or neutered, they will be calmer and much happier and so will you. Pets that are spayed and neutered are less aggressive and do not possess the territorial bad habits that unaltered pets have. They are more friendly, more loving and much more willing to stay home. Unaltered pets often get out and roam for miles looking for mates, not only is this dangerous to your furry friend but it causes the birth of animals that may never have a loving home. Please help us to continue to help our furry friends by spaying or neutering your pets!
Happy Tails Animal Rescue, Inc. is a 5013C registered non-profit, tax-exempt organization dedicated to finding new homes for adoptable companion animals in the Jacksonville, Florida area. When possible we foster them until permanent homes can be found. We maintain an educational program to encourage owners to spay or neuter their pets and to promote the humane treatment of all animals.

Adopting a friend
Our adoption fees vary with the age of the pet. Additionally, some discounts may apply. All of our cats and dogs are spayed or neutered and are up to date on all of their vaccinations. The cats have been tested negative for feline aids and feline leukemia and the dogs have been tested negative for heart worms unless otherwise stated. Our adoption policy does require an application so that we can match homes to the appropriate pets.
