WHAT IS H.A.N.D.

Mission: The HAND Foundation, Help Animals Needing Doctors, a nonprofit charitable 501(c)(3) organization, was established in 1999, with the mission of providing medical and relocation assistance to animals in need. History: HAND has provided medical and relocation assistance to more than 10,000 animals since 1999 from communities known to have high-euthanasia rates to communities which have high-adoption rates. HAND’s transport program was created to help save the lives of homeless animals through partnership and collaboration with county animal welfare agencies. The program also works to proactively reduce pet overpopulation communities that need the most help.

WHY H.A.N.D.

As you may be aware, the pet overpopulation problem in the Southern states is overwhelming. On a daily basis, there are regions that have to put down as many as 85% of their animals simply because of space.
