Who We Are
Halfway Home Rescue Inc.'s mission is to focus on the welfare and placement of abused, abandoned, and stray cats. Our initial goal was to provide an additional place for homeless animals when other shelters were too full to help. Along with our "sister" organizations, we work to promote spay/neuter and to assist with Trap/Neuter/Return of feral cats.
In 2007, over 900 cats passed through Halfway Home Rescue Inc. on their way to forever homes or back to their feral colonies as part of a Trap/Neuter/Return program!

Adopting a friend
All of the animals currently residing at Halfway Home Rescue, Inc. have been examined by a veterinarian, spayed or neutered, tested for FeLV/FIV, and are up to date with vaccinations. Each has been treated for fleas, worms, and ear mites as needed. Most of the animals that come to us have suffered lives of abuse, neglect, and abandonment. Our goal is to place each animal in a home that most suits its needs. We apologize, but there will be no out of state adoptions for dogs or cats. We DO NOT take in personal pets.
Please email us for an adoption application. The application is also available on our website www.halfwayhomeonline.com. This will need to be completed before any visit to our shelter. Once completed, we will set up an appointed time for you to meet each of our animals looking for homes. If a match is made, you will fill out an adoption contract and receive all of the medical papers for your new pet. We request a minimum $125 adoption donation per cat to help defray veterinary expenses. Donations for dogs vary per animal. Donation for small animals (rabbits, guinea pigs, etc) $30-$50.
