We would like to encourage any one looking for a new pet to first check local shelters. There are always great pets available and not just pets with "problems." In almost each instance it is not the pet that has had a problem, but an owner that did not take the time nor make the commitment for the pet.
Who We Are
We are a very small group of volunteers. Our 1st priority is to rescue "last day" dogs from local animal shelters. We do not have a kennel or a facility to house the dogs and depend on volunteers to provided foster homes.
Adopting a friend
E-mail us or call and we can arrange/refer you to meet one of the many dogs available for adoption. Adoption fees range from $100.00 at the Lied Animal Shelter up to $150.00 for puppies at Lied. Our fostered dogs are normally around $100, depending on expenses incurred, including food, boarding and Vet costs. All dogs are spayed/neutered, up-to-date on vaccinations and usually microchipped. The dogs at Lied are spayed/neutered and have a rabies shot and microchip included in their adoption fee. Henderson also has a shelter. All dogs are companion dogs and should be treated as a member of the family. We require an enclosed yard. No Apartments, as they are not normally suited for large breed dogs.
